Egypt's Attack on Christians Caught on Tape: Muslim Mob Storms Coptic Church, Topples Cross While Chanting 'Allahu Akbar

"...in a series of attacks made under a plan they called ‘Plan B', which targeted all churches to be burned and destroyed."

Dozens of Coptic churches in Egypt have reportedly been attacked by members and supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood in the wake of the military coup against Mohammed Morsi. Now, one of the shocking attacks has been caught on video.

The footage, obtained by the MidEast Christian News, was recorded on Aug. 14 and reportedly shows a Muslim mob in the southern Egyptian city of Sohag storming a Coptic church, setting cars on fire and taking down a cross sitting high atop the steeple.

Coptic leaders say that there have been dozens of similar attacks on churches since Morsi's ouster.

TheBlaze TV's "For the Record" recently covered the ongoing war on Christians in Egypt as seen from inside the revolution. Watch the latest episode here.

Bishop Makarious, a Coptic leader, argues the attacks on Christian churches, homes and businesses are premeditated and planned by Muslim Brotherhood leaders in an effort to further divide the country.

“We were then surprised by the systematic attacks on churches and Copts’ properties, many of them occurring at the same time in different places, in a series of attacks made under a plan they called ‘Plan B', which targeted all churches to be burned and destroyed," Makarious told MidEast Christian News.
