    Is it this one?

  • December 31, 2013 at 7:51pm

    Haha, good one.

  • July 22, 2013 at 11:57pm

HA! That made me laugh out loud.

I have a 7 month old and let me tell you, it is SO hard to breastfeed your child anywhere while out and about that is hidden (like a bathroom or empty room, etc). I wish I felt comfortable putting my cover on and breastfeeding anywhere I need to (within reason). There is nothing wrong about this at all. Unfortunately, I feel uncomfortable. Partially because I am not entirely comfortable as a mom yet, but mostly because I am afraid of being judged. I’m sure when I have more kids, I’ll care a lot less what people think. It’s just too hard to hide while breastfeeding like many people seem to want us to do. As long as there is some kind of cover involved and the mother is trying to be modest, get over it people.

@SlapTheLeft What are you talking about? @No Quarter said the kid (who he assumed guilty) deserved to die. I was saying no one backs that insane belief up. Certainly not common sense and the law, and not even any religious laws (whether it’s Jesus or Moses). And thus I concluded he’s a nut case. Even Sharia law doesn’t accept that as punishment. @No Quarter is truly insane.

Are you kidding me? First, you assume for NO reason that this kid did in fact commit a crime (I’m very against people throwing the word “racist” out there willy-nilly, but I can not come up with another reason why you’d assume this 13-year old guilty with no evidence whatsoever). Second, It doesn’t even matter if he did. The penalty for stealing is NOT death. (Unless the person is in your home or on your property putting you in danger). Neither common sense, the law, Jesus or Moses backs up your ridiculous belief. You are a nut-case.

…I pay less than that for both those things. I live in 2 bedroom 800 sq ft apartment with husband and infant. Rent is 585/month. Car payment is $25/month.

I doubt the kid actually stole from him. I mean 13? Come on. Not that likely. But it doesn’t really matter if the kid did steal some of his stuff. You can not just murder someone who is not a threat and also outside of your property, even if you had real proof they stole from you. That’s what the police are for. Punishment for suspected or proven burglary is not death.

Age doesn’t matter. As soon as you’re out of high school and you found the right person, don’t wait. I got married at 19, now I’m barely 21 with a 4 month old baby. I don’t regret any of it. My husband rocks, why would I have risked him marrying someone else by waiting for no good reason? Haha.

Not a single Blaze writer is LDS (“Mormon”). Just sayin’…

As for why its relevant, the conference this was announced in was trending on twitter US wide for most of Saturday and Sunday. Lots of chat about this on Facebook and Twitter (and news outlets around the country- mostly out West probably). Not to mention a “Mormon” is running for President, so people are generally more curious about the religion. So I’d say its news worthy.

Yeah I agree. It would be very uncommon in that time for him NOT to be married. So its not some big deal. What does it change about Him? Nothing. Marriage is very sacred in God’s eyes. Jesus was the perfect example for us. So it would make sense he was married. The fact is, the Bible doesn’t tell us either way really. So I don’t see why it matters.

I don’t think this is an obvious “Jesus” pose…maybe I’m crazy. Would not have thought anything of it if I just saw it somewhere…

What a horrible idea. Just vote for Obama! Save yourself arm movement.

  • July 9, 2012 at 1:35pm

@Mutiny Romney was the only candidate left by the time Utah had its primary (it was June 26th or so)!!! I’m saying it doesn’t matter if Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich or Michelle Bachmann were left, they would STILL get that much of the vote (to show support for the movement and be good citizens). Has nothing to do with being Mormon at ALL. I mean generally (not just caucus) Utah will always vote for the republican overwhelmingly. You can’t say its because of race or religion. Let me tell ya, Harry Reid (who is also LDS) would lose by a landslide if he was a politician in Utah.

  • July 9, 2012 at 12:24pm

@Mutiny “Romney got 93% of the vote in Utah in the caucus. Obama got 93% or 96% of the black vote in 2008.” This is a bad comparison. You are assuming with no knowledge that everyone in Utah is Mormon! Around 60% of the population is (ranges from 58-62% based on which census or survey). Utah is basically the most conservative state in the Union. That’s why so many voted for Romney, not because he is “Mormon”. All conservative candidates in Utah get that high of a percent!

    Where is BYU!?!?!

  • February 28, 2012 at 11:49am

Kids are complaining about 2,000 a YEAR??? I go to the very very cheap college and its 2,500 a semester. Deal with it. You need to sacrifice to get an education!

That’s the most bigoted, uninformed thing I’ve ever heard, Eliasim. Polygamy has not been practiced or wanted for over 150 years by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Also a very few percent of the Mormon population ever practiced it.

That’s as illogical as saying that we could easily go back to slavery. We’re just a nudge away right? It was ONLY a 150 years ago that some American’s had slaves!
