On the heels of ABC‘s Dan Westin’s resignation earlier this month, it was reported today that CNN president Jonathan Klein was fired. Now, NBC Universal chief executive Jeff Zucker is “resigning” — a decision that the New York Times reports Zucker admitted “was not his own choice.”

I’m sure it has nothing to do with the popularity of MSNBC and CNN: “Cable News Ratings August 2010: CNN Viewership plummets, Fox News Still on Top.”

Nope.
