Politics ‘Would you please raise my taxes?’

This is just getting ridiculous…

Prediction: It’s only a matter of time until this unscripted (wink, wink) exchange makes its way into an Obama campaign ad as indisputable evidence that Obama is NOT a class warrior.  The rich want to be begrudged for their success — and here’s the proof!

It’s nice that this anonymous rich man is “unemployed by choice,” but that’s just not the case for 99.9% of the rest of us. Perhaps instead of asking for a tax increase that would affect millions of other people, this individual “search engine” entrepreneur should think about more productive things to do with his money.

Has he never heard of charity? Has he never considered about using his capital to expand his business by creating jobs? Has he never thought about using his money to invest in other businesses so that they might hire more workers?

Why is government — the most inefficient and ineffective economic engine — the only solution in this guy’s mind?

It’s time to think outside the state-run box there, liberals.

I sincerely hate this man. Oh My god. I hate him. I hope he falls into oblivion after he is voted out of office.

Why is it that everyone who is successful is “lucky”?

Makes you wonder “how they got lucky”.

Nope….nope…NO ONE actually has any good ideas or works hard…ever. It’s just those guys who are “lucky enough” to be rich.

What a crock. If this d-bag wants to pay more taxes, maybe he should fire his $750/hr accountant and use turbo tax instead. I am sure that SOMEWHERE in there he can find “lucky” deductions that, uh, are “questionable”….

OK. I couldn’t hold out any longer. Even if the President did raise taxes this man would not be affected. The only way he would pay higher taxes is if the President were to raise capital gains taxes. He was clearly a plant, third one in three weeks. I wonder who they will bring out next week.

The man WAS a plant and is retired from Google “by his own choice, unemployed”……who would believe that this is real? oh yeah, the libs who don’t think for themselves……but right after the guy asked the question, notice how the audience laughs first……they thought it was a joke

Would this anonymous (and clearly not a plant) rich fellow be from Google? The same Google with deep ties to this administration?

I bet Obama’s handlers cursed under their breath when Obama pushed that out of him and showed their hand.

The whole gimmick here isn’t that these few rich folk really want higher taxes for themselves. They would donate the money if they really cared. Instead they are really angry that OTHER rich folk aren’t giving away their money too. They want to take away other people’s money. They hate that other people are doing well too and not sharing in the way these Liberals want. It’s an ugly envy monster.

If this guy really wants higher taxes can’t he write a bigger check? If he wants more investment, can’t he invest? What he says raise “my” taxes, he means raise everyone else’s taxes. Obama was all too happy to agree with him

Sadly, your comment implies that you believe he was authentic. That’s the real story. This administration is using tactics employed by the USSR and Third Reich and very few people are appalled.
