Environment A Rat is a Pig is a Dog is a Boy

Granted, it’s not worth getting too worked up over People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — though it’s always interesting to peek into the twisted minds of those who believe crustaceans and your beloved Rover occupy the same moral plane as human life. And if you really want to look evil in the eye, try celebrating Thanksgiving with a PETA Tofurky – I did.

Here’s another example.

Last Saturday, 21-year-old Charles Wickersham was fishing a few miles of the coast of Anna Maria Island in the Bay Area. He was almost killed after being attacked by a shark. He is still, I presume, in intensive care and will likely suffer pain and some disability for the rest of his life.

PETA’s reaction? A billboard.

A Rat is a Pig is a Dog is a Boy
Sick puppies.

“Humans hook, spear, maim, and kill fish for ‘sport’ every day,” explained PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “The most dangerous predator of all is the one holding the fishing rod or standing at the ‘all you can eat’ seafood buffet.”

First of all, you don’t have to “stand” at some ‘all you can eat’ seafood buffet.” You can be civilized and order raw fish prepared with artistic flare, like so:

A Rat is a Pig is a Dog is a Boy
I’d love to see a shark set up that plate.

Now, Ingrid Newkirk, the president of PETA, once said that she was “opposed to having children” — bless her heart – because “Having a purebred human baby is like having a purebred dog; it’s nothing but vanity, human vanity.” A deep love of animals and a disdain for humans. That’s what allows Newkirk to say something like: “Six million Jews died in concentration camps, but six billion broiler chickens will die this year in slaughterhouses.”

Here’s one of those billboards.

The brutality of Stupid

Holocaust victims, broiler chickens, sharks, fishermen — all the same.

A “purebred human baby”? Well, what other kind of human baby is she going to have? Was she planning on having a Mawg ?(half man/half dog).

The militant animal rights folks are definitely a dangerous bunch. The lawyer mentioned in the following article was interviewed on our local radio AM talk show this morning. He whole-heartedly supported the burning down of a Caldwell, Idaho business because of the “harm” the business does to animals. He even inferred that if someone working for the company happened to be killed in the fire, that it would be ok because of the harm they’ve done to the animals. Our local host was flabbergasted and unfortunately was unable to speak any kind of sense to this guy.

This is by far one of the sickest bunch of people alive and there are a lot to choose from. I keep lots of farm animals and I love my animals, I sit with them and hug them, drink their milk, pet them make sure they have the best food, I shelter them better than mother nature ever did before they were domesticated, and I EAT THEM….well the boys I eat. I even have a couple chicken periods each morning. PETA, if I was not meant to eat meat I would have been born without a craving for fresh meat and teeth like a cow.
