Hank Williams Jr. came. He spoke. He explained. And then apologized.
Following his official statement to clarify the Obama-Hitler comparison (an interpretation others, including The Blaze’s Meredith Jessup, say isn’t accurate) he made on “Fox and Friends” Monday, Williams blogged an apology for his remarks:
“I have always been very passionate about Politics and Sports and this time it got the Best or Worst of me. The thought of the Leaders of both Parties Jukin and High Fiven on a Golf course, while so many Families are Struggling to get by simply made me Boil over and make a Dumb statement and I am very Sorry if it Offended anyone. I would like to Thank all my supporters. This was Not written by some Publicist.” — Hank Williams Jr
If this hadn’t been written on a computer, one imagines it would have been pieced together from letters cut out of a magazine.

Posted on October 10, 2011 at 3:06pmFirst of all, all of us are imperfect. Hank is really a very nice guy and he didn’t really mean it. Besides, he’s very passionate about it, and it was the product of an emotional discussion. We should all remember that this is not the sum total of this particular artists work. I know you’d like to focus on language, but we should focus on the actions we can take to grow the economy and create jobs, instead of focusing on Kabuki theater.

Glenn, find a song of his that fits for something on GBTV, and USE IT; pay royalties.

Posted on October 6, 2011 at 2:44pmOne thing HW Jr. was dead right about was that the “US is more polarized and divided than ever under Obama” (loosely translated from HW Jr. hillbilly to English.)
Report Post »MNF/ESPN should never have spanked Hank for stating the obvious. I hope he’s back next week.

Posted on October 6, 2011 at 8:21amFreedom of speech Hank, you had every right to express your view. Simply put, we all understood the point of what you were expressing that two individuals are very different yet socializing together. “Support our Constitution” Quit worrying about if you will offend someone. That’s exactly why we have the issue we have today. STAND UP FOR WHATS RIGHT…

Posted on October 6, 2011 at 6:14amThe liberal left can call for the deaths of their opponents, incites riotous behavior, slander, belittle, deride, and defame with their demigogery without fear of reprisal. Ol Hank makes a simple and clearly understandable comment and he is demonized for it. I don’t blame the left for this; I blame the right for not holding the left accountable for any of their folly!
Sorry we let ya down Hank!
America and freedom will not survive this one sided media war if the right continues to do nothing more than sit on their butts complaining about it!
