    @trading,

if Congress isn’t going to pass a law with the intent of repairing the Fed, how exactly is Paul going to abolish the same? Our brains don’t have to be going 100 miles an hour to figure this out, just forward.

No concrete details on his 999 plan equate to not a very well thought out plan. I‘ve done the math for me and my family and we will defiantly pay more and I’ll need to find a second job to be able to afford it all.

You better crunch the numbers…I like the man but I don’t like his 999 policy. It does not address those who are in retirement and those who make 50k with standard deductions only pay about 2 to 4%. He needs to tell us if his family of 4 making 50K lives in one of the poverty zones.

9% consumer tax, without further detail, is a vat tax. 16% plus 9% is 25% for gas in my state. As for goods, will the MFG be taxed for the piece parts and material that goes into the end product that consumers will be paying an additional 9%? That is the EU system.

Why not have just a consumption tax on the end item product?

When is the media going to ask the business man serious questions such as, how will you fund the current SS folks. The plan basically abolishes SS unless it is intended to be funded by the VAT tax…only the shadow knows.

I was once told, only answer the questions asked and don’t offer any additional information…so ask the tough pointed questions Media…you guys are dumber than a bag of sand.

Indeed, you are pointing out just how broken our tax code really is! I have a problem with a tax code that is so obfuscated that you can‘t figure it out in advance or so benign that you don’t notice the collections (like the skimming off your utility bills)! Tax collections should be visible enough that we feel the pain! The recent ‘tax breaks’, which are really nothing but an adjustment of the withholding tables, hide the problem, which will rear its ugly face on April 15th, after which our ‘leaders’ will pass a ‘tax rebate’ (to both those that paid tax and those that didn’t) of maybe $100 per citizen (the checks costing maybe $200 to issue), to mollify an upset electorate before the election and make Obama look like a kind grandpa! Cain’s plan may not be right, but it is bold–and I think we need bold right now! The key will be to set the numbers at a revenue neutral level and assure some ‘fairness’. It resets the corporate tax to a level that is relatively neutral, and makes sure that all corporatoins pay! It sets an income tax (on income, that is work peformed, and not previously taxed income, which would doubly tax the work performed to earn it previously–capital gains tax is really nothing more than a property tax). It sets a consumption tax (on new consumption, exempting the sale of used goods or hand-me-downs). Combined with the income tax, if one were to spend 100% of their income on new goods, then their combined tax would be 18%.

I like Herman Cain. But as I put aside my emotions and reflect of the facts, I realize Herman Cain is just another variation on the Obama theme. They both inspire their bases with rousing oration. But when you look under the surface there is trouble.
There is only one thing to know about Hermain Cain: He will keep America enslaved to the Banking Monopoly & Debt Slavery system of the FED/IRS Complex. And He will promise the moon to get elected so he can carry out the mission.

“Some people think that the Federal Reserve Banks are United States Government institutions. They are private monopolies which prey upon the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers; foreign and domestic speculators and swindlers; and rich and predatory money lenders.” –The Honorable Louis McFadden, Chairman of the House Banking and Currency Committee in the 1930s–

Congressman Ron Paul is the only candidate who would set America free for the first time since 1913. America would explode with growth without the FED/IRS complex running it’s debt racket. The FED/IRS complex is sucking the life out of the economy, discouraging economic growth and investment. Investors invest in countries with strong currency and strong growth. Savers provide real capital as opposed to the monopoly money the FED creates digitally

Let us not forget that Obama is only half-black! But, that is not to denigrate the SUCCESSFUL part of your remark.

There is NO STRENGTH in Obama. He is more wishy washy than my oatmeal in the morning. He makes our country look weak. We need the strength of Mr. Cain! Obama should go to join those littering Wall Street, they are Obama’s kind of people.

Have you studied his 999 plan? If not I suggest you and the rest dig in and find out what it will mean to you.

Congress will never pass such a plan.

Kibs, it sounds a lot more peaceful than what is going on today. The ONLY thing arabs of any country respect is power. The current cow-towing administration is selling American out! Peace is protected by strength. Americans, please wake up.

Mr. Herman Cain gets it. Opportunity in American is won not given.

Mr. Cain’s refreshing retort that government is the problem. In addition, he understands the greatness of America is found in the individual citizens of our country not in the government.

Please read more of government verses the individual on my blog.
