Entertainment KFC apologizes for not accomodating John Travolta’s ego

KFC apologizes for not accomodating John Travoltas egoWhen Hollywood A-lister John Travolta phoned a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant to reserve a table, the employee on the receiving end of the call informed the actor that fast-food restaurants don’t accept reservations.

“To me, customers are customers, no matter who they are,” the employee later told the Daily Mail. “It doesn’t make a difference if someone is famous.”

Apparently this response wasn’t acceptable to KFC higher-ups who have since issued an apology:

“In hindsight, of course, we would have reserved a table for him… It’s not every day you get a Hollywood star eating in your restaurant,” a spokesman says.

It shows how out of touch John Travolta is with real life. The KFC exectives who apologized for this employee’s common sense need their priorities changed because Mr. Travolta is no different than those customers who support their business daily. If Mr. Travolta want preferred treatment then he can purchase a KFC franchise and by being the owner can have a table alway reserved for himself for any time he wishes to eat KFC, otherwise wait in line and for a table like the rest of us.

John’s money is no different than mine. What a bunch of kiss ups. I don’t eat there because the chicken is horrible, but now I will not eat there if it is the last fast food shack left.

How would they even know it was Travolta and not someone else.
Perhaps Travolta wanted some free politicly and made this up?
Perhaps the employee made it up?
Perhaps in this KFC is in such a rich neighborhood that the rich and famous go there rather than order out?
I mean if I had a multi-million dollar home and could order KFC send to my home I would really prefer to go there and eat in their little crap eating area.
How stupid is this story and how stupid is the blaze for reporting it with little to no confirmed facts
why am I reading and replying to this crap

      Well said Blazing.

I don’t think KFC is going to suffer terribly because some nutbag scientologist looney bin washed up actor. Worse than him, though, that spokesperson or their boss (or the board) are a bunch of sniveling cowards to not stand behind an employee on what should seem like common sense and instead surrender to a whining millionaire. If this was their idea of CYA, they must honestly think the following:

Kid: Hey Mom, can we have KFC for our take-out night?

Mom: Oh no son, John Travolta was mistreated because they can’t do reservations for A-list celebrities, so we have to change our preferences in food to stand in solidarity with him.

Kid: You’re right! What was I thinking?

Idiots. I will continue to not give KFC my business for surrendering like this.
