There’s a sneak-peek (see also “advertisement”) out for ABC News’ hour-long special on the recovery of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. The special is set to air Nov. 14 and will have footage of Giffords’ rehabilitation process and some type of interview (not “full-length,” according to her chief of staff) with the congresswoman and her husband Mark Kelly.
Let‘s hope the program isn’t as bizarre as the promo shot. This is straight out of “awkward family photos,” thanks to the uncomfortably distant hand-holding position Diane Sawyer is in.

I’m of course glad to see Ms Giffords is on the road to recovery. I wonder though if she will comment on, maybe offer an apology for her fathers remark, something to the effect, “the Tea Party, they all hated her”. I admit that his comment was in the heat of the moment, but nonetheless a rather inflammatory statement.

Posted on November 7, 2011 at 12:42amThough I’m glad this lady survived her horrendous attack, I don’t believe pea soup green is Ms. Giffords’ best color. Perhaps her husband or Diane Sawyer’s staff could have chosen a more attractive shade. The photo doesn’t portray Ms. Giffords in a flattering way, which is a shame.
