When Sarah Palin made the announcement she wouldn’t be running for president back in October, she should have thought twice about where she was making the announcement. She did it on Mark Levin‘s radio show for free, rather than on Fox News, the company that pays her to talk.
After she made the announcement, Fox executive vice-president Bill Shine spoke with Palin’s people to let them know that Fox News CEO Roger Ailes wasn’t happy, according to “New York” magazine:
Shine was deputized to handle the matter. He spoke with Palin’s agent, Bob Barnett, and told him that Ailes was furious with Palin’s move and that she was at risk of being “benched.” Fox still had to pay her, but they didn’t have to give her airtime. Barnett spoke with Palin and told her about the problem. After she apologized, he called Shine back and told him that Palin recognized the misstep.

She ran for Vice President and almost one. She singlehandedly gave McCain that chance. If she ran for president she would knock everyone else out of the race except Romney; And maybe him. Some polls showed she could win. But Ahails barks?!
Sarah Palin is respected or liked by more people than Fox could ever hope to be. Even some who don’t agree with all of her opinions, respect her as someone who really loves The American People and America. If she was not asked Respectfully and required ahead of time to “announce” on Fox or any place; Then she was not legally or ethically required to do so. This is still for now A Free Country; Whether NBC, Emelt, CBS, ABC, Obama, Hillary, Their European friends or Ahailes want it to be that or not!
Fox brags that it is the network about Freedon Honor America. Yet he pulls a primadonna tinhorn dictator act. Sarah didn’t have to apologise to anyone. But if she didn’t want to possibly insult someone, it is classy she did. Glenn says there are a meriad of reasons why he left Fox. I always had a suspicion that Murdock had 1 or 2 jerks working for him. Maybe his wife should try to smack them also.

Posted on November 22, 2011 at 3:31pmGov. Palin had the right to choose how she would tell Americans of her decision to not run for President. She wasn’t neglecting to meet her contractual obligations, but did chose to share her news with Mark Levin instead. That was her prerogative. It was nice of her to apologize for upsetting the bigwigs at Fox; however, I doubt being scolded like a child had much of an impact. Gov. Palin doesn’t really need traditional news outlets when she can make her opinions known through outlets like Facebook and Twitter.

If a employee of mine, who is paid by me to make comment on political news, I would expect them to submit apparent “Political breaking news” to me as their employer first, especially if their giving their news worthy opinions to others for free.
