Is Apple’s Black Friday Sale a Good (Enough) Deal?

Fellow editor Jonathon Seild said to me this morning “Is it just me or are Apple’s ‘amazing’ Black Friday sales…. well, insulting?” To which my initial response was “The fact that Apple is even having a sale is amazing.”

Apple’s sale has been highly publicized. Why? Because they never have a sale. The Daily Mail calls it a “highly unusual move for the company, which famously never reduces prices.”

But then I got to thinking. Are they really good enough for Black Friday? Electronics on Black Friday can often be up to 70 percent off Β and customers expect higher than usual discounts, otherwise it wouldn’t be worth the 3 a.m. alarm clock ring, two hour stand in the cold and potential for being pepper sprayed.

Apple is offering 10 percent off most products as well as some other discounts like $11 off Nanos and MacBook Air’s dropping $101 to $898. And while these discounts are at least something — definitely an improvement on the usual no sale on traditionally more expensive brand — it’s still not much.

The Daily Mail continues:

“Even getting money off an Apple product is amazing,’ says Mark Wilson, Features Editor of Britain’s Stuff Magazine, ‘Although British shoppers won’t be familiar with the idea of Black Friday — which is, let’s face it, a very odd name – it’s a good way to pick up bargains, even if the cuts aren’t THAT deep.”

Apple describes it as “the day you’ve waited 364 days for.”

GeekOSystem calls the event “mildly discounted” and “barely constituting a sale.”

What did I think about Apple’s Black Friday deals? Well I bought an iPad at the local Applestore. The store was busier than I have ever seen it. There were ushers letting people in only when some people left because they were at capacity. Truth is Apple doesn’t need to post sales because their products hold their original value. However, a sale (even small) is enough to get the folks on the fence to buy it now. I bet Apple sold hundreds of thousands, if not millions of products over the extended weekend.

.Your jewelry stands out as the icing upon your cake in the prom so you certainly to overdo it in order to make an effects.

Should you be a tiny exposed in your own prom attire or are involved about a fabulous chill from the air for the reason that night wear on, you may opt to make sure you wear some sort of shawl as well as wrap in which compliments your prom costume. This may be a beautiful addition for the prom dress, especially considering that must be not simply appropriate to help wear any jacket intended for warmth

Just as a frog hops from one lily pad to another in case there’s something better on the next one, so the newbie Internet Marketer jumps from one tactic to another to try and get instant results.

The Hopping Frog syndrome is very common and comes about for one very good reason. The simple fact is you want to succeed and as you’re new and short on experience, you’re prepared to accept what you’re told by others who appear to know more than you do. And very soon you’ll have the world queuing at your door to tell you they’ve got the secret that will make you rich and you’re ready to believe them.

To succeed in any online business you have to get traffic coming to your site – without it you’ll do absolutely zero business. So the Holy Grail is finding the way to generate that traffic and here’s where those rear legs start limbering up.

What do you do? You buy traffic as that’s what it’s all about isn’t it? The offer of having 1,000s of people visiting your site is just too tempting and can’t possibly fail. Yes, the traffic might come but there’s no guarantee that they’ll buy what you’re selling.

Then you hop to the next lily pad and buy ads, as you’re told this is the most effective way to attract targeted buyers. OK, they might buy but possibly not in the numbers you were expecting and you might not even have covered the cost of your ads. The rear legs flex once more and hop onto the next tempting offer as t

Bloodyartist22 and shemmy, you are absolutely correct. Black friday is a joke, much of it is a scam on the public in the sense, that they jack up the prices on merchandice, just before a sale, or offer additional 10%-50% off if you use store credit card ( which would work only if you pay off the balance every month) and if you dont you will pay that 10-50% off the sale price in interest increments that add up every month on the credit card. people should shop for christmas year round.

There were some good deals on the iPod but the lines at the stores were CRAZY. The line at one store was so long I knew I would never get one. So I was happy to order one online through Apple at $21 off. I got free engraving and free shipping. I think that was a good deal.

10% off is what businesses should be giving to the military that allow them to stay in business for defending Capitalism. I’ve noticed a few widely-known companies that have jacked up their prices only to “give” us 50-75% discounts…..and they end up being the same price we would pay for any other day. *cough* PACSUN. *cough*
