Media Report on Todd Palin reality show false, producer says

Mark Burnett, the same guy who produced “Sarah Palin‘s Alaska,” says reports from last week that the former Republican veep nominee is pitching a reality show starring her husband Todd are false. The report said Sarah was shopping a show to networks that would highlight her husband’s snowmobiling career.
“That is totally inaccurate,” Burnett told the New York Post. “In fact, the idea around snowmobiling was to be part of an episode in ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’ — not a series.”
The truth is, Burnett is currently pitching a second season of “Alaska” to TLC, despite the show not getting a green light as its debut season ended earlier this year. If he gets the go-ahead, he says the show would shoot in summer of 2012.

Posted on December 19, 2011 at 9:23pmThe media has always loved to make up stories about Sarah Palin and her family. They’ll stoop to any level for ratings. If they can smear Gov. Palin and her family in the process it is a win-win for them. When this was first reported I had a suspicion that it was a contrived story because the only source was an entertainment one.
I‘d love to see a second season of Sarah Palin’s Alaska! The first season had great ratings so TLC should really get with the program. It would be so much better than TLC’s current line-up of All-American Muslim and dumb specials like the Virgin Diaries and Geek Love.
