Politics Who congratulated Romney on Iowa win? Not Newt

Mitt Romney hears no congrats from Newt Gingrich
Mitt Romney
personally heard from all of his Republican competitors after coming out on top of the Iowa Caucuses Tuesday night. All except Newt Gingrich, who still has nothing to say about it.

From Politico:

At a news conference in Concord, N.H., Gingrich was asked by CBS correspondent Dean Reynolds why he congratulated Rick Santorum but not Romney.

Gingrich stared at the reporter and raised his eyebrows in silence, eventually drawing laughter from some of the reporters.

“Because I know you would be a man of great professionalism, I know that’s a rhetorical question. And a good one,” Gingrich said.

    Newt is a DISGUSTING TROLL.

He is a pathetic little whining sore loser.

God save our country if we move from Obama to this sad example of a man.

Gingrich is gross. He comes across as a big headed, small minded nasty little man.

Newt is an ADULTERER WHO IS MARRIED TO HIS ADULTERER WIFE.

Newt and Calista = The First Couple of Sleaze and Dishonor.

Just what our country needs after four years of Obama.

Romney and Newt are both trouble…. and I’ve canceled my Beck TV subscription because Beck did great work, then turns around and spews the absurd… plus he‘s on this religious kick I can’t abide.

Buh bye Glenn! You are now a tin foil hat nutjob.

What absurd “spewing” are you referring to? Let’s hear specifics.

I actually thought seriously about Newt’s candidacy before he started this more childish and directed “payback” pursuit on Romney. Calling fellow Republican candidates “liars” isn’t very Presidential. He’s not going to win now that his injured ego and over-reactive temperment are showing. I’m glad it became apparent before we voted, and my hope is that he bows out without smearing every other candidate on his way down.

Are you serious??? Let’s see..I’ll spend a few million dollars running negative commercials about you that are not true. People like Dick Morris already corroborated it. Anyway, now that I’ve run you into the ground as hard as I can……Please Congratulate me for it! I love how perfect all the people in the world are….so that they can play judge, jury, and executioner just like you and Glenn BEck!

….I’m proud to be paired up in the same sentence as Beck. I notice that the discussion group on Beck had the same opinion. Newt can‘t dispute the content of Romney’s ads…just that they appeared. No one likes a sore loser. Al Gore comes to mind…

Newt didn’t call Romney a liar over the content of the ads. In fact, he didn’t call him a liar at all. He simply agreed with that assessment. What Romney is not being forthright about is the source of these negative ads. He’s trying to pretend that his hands are clean. They aren’t.

I have to agree with Sumthin in the sense that, were I Gingrich I certainly wouldn’t congratulate Romney. Romney “won” by pulling down his opponents because he’s incapable of lifting himself up. That does not merit a positive comment.

Sumthin then goes on to attack Glenn Beck, violating the same principle that he criticizes Romney over. If there‘s something Glenn Beck has said you don’t agree with, put forth a reasonable argument. A general attack with no specifics doesn’t make Glenn look wrong… it makes you look emotional and irrational. At least Romney gave specifics in his negative attacks…

Sorry DRFrost, but I heard the soundclip myself on the radio where Newt was asked if he was calling Romney a liar. He said “Yes”.
