Out with Florida, in with Nevada.
The Republican primary campaign moves West Wednesday, to land where campaign front-runner Mitt Romney has already been advertising in for some time. Romney‘s latest radio ad released in Nevada Wednesday afternoon draws attention to the former Governor’s commitment to an issue that detractors have long criticized him for ‘flip-flopping’ on; the pro-life cause.
“Mitt Romney believes to strengthen this nation we have to begin by strengthening the family. It’s the place where America’s future is born,” the ad’s narrator says. “Conservatives across America who recognize the value of every human life are supporting Mitt Romney for president.”
“The pro-life movement has worked so hard for so many years in the effort to change people’s hearts and minds on the life issues,” Founder of Women Affirming Life Mary Ann Glendon says in the minute-long ad.”That like Ronald Reagan, like Henry Hyde, Mitt Romney should be welcomed as a great success story for the pro-life movement.”
The comparison to Henry Hyde could be called blasphemy by pro-life supporters who have not forgotten Romney’s position on abortion during his 1994 campaign to unseat Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy:
Romney has led Nevada GOP polls since the July, however the last poll taken in the state concluded on December 20. Romney won the state’s caucus during his 2008 campaign for President. Nevada’s 28 delegates will up for grabs on February 4, 2012.

Posted on February 4, 2012 at 5:35pmI am so sick of Newt’s idiotic super PAC running the ad with the quote from Romney which happened 16 years ago. A man is allowed to change his mind. Reagan was a Democrat before he went on to become the most important Republican president in modern history.
I hope Romney taps into that change of heart like Reagan did and makes light of his Democratic years as often as possible.

Posted on February 2, 2012 at 11:04amRomney also told Mike Huckabee that he wants to return the issue back to the states. While state‘s rights is essential to liberty the right to life itself trumps state’s rights. Under Romney’s expressed principle, shared by Ron Paul, the very right to exist granted by God and affirmed by the Constitution will still be subjugated to the will of government. Instead of the Federal government deciding if the unborn will be allowed to be born, the State would. In essence this ideology mean that the unborn better hope they are fortunate to be conceived in the right state.
Here’s the matter reduced down so even Romney and Paul can understand it: Unless one has the very right to exist protected from conception, then the rights to life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, and as an extension the right to associate with others to enforce state’s rights are all moot.
