Media Pointless quote of the day 02.16.12

Pointless quote of the day, Washington Post“What’s happening in Detroit can happen in other industries. It can happen in Cleveland and Pittsburgh and Raleigh and Milwaukee. That’s what we’ve got to be shooting for, to create opportunities for hard-working Americans to start making stuff again and selling it around the world.”

–President Barack Obama speaking to factory employees in Milwaukee on Wednesday. This came after he reminded everyone that his administration in 2009 extended a bailout to General Motors and Chrysler, according to the Washington Post. Is anyone looking to the auto industry as a successful business model?

Disgusting. Detroit is a hellhole. Auto industry is still in trouble. If the auto industry was so great, people in Michigan could afford to buy the cars they make. But if you look on the roads around here, all old cars. Never seen so many hoopty rides. We actually are seeing rusty cars again. Haven‘t seen that since the 1970’s. The US economy sucks. The Michigan economy sucks and Detroit is unmentionable.
