Santorum campaign still talking about Romney’s old dog
On MSNBC today Alice Stewart, spokeswoman for Rick Santorum‘s campaign, brought up Mitt Romney‘s dog problem. “If you can’t be nice to your dog, who you gonna be nice to?,” Stewart said. She’s referring to the time Romney said he once strapped the old family dog Seamus in a kennel to the roof of his car on a road trip to Canada.
It’s an issue Santorum’s campaign likes to remind voters of.
Last week, Santorum campaign adviser John Brabender said on CNN, “Quite frankly, I‘m not sure I’m going to listen to a value judgment of a guy who strapped his own dog on the top of a car and went hurling down the highway.”

Posted on March 19, 2012 at 2:50pmI would really like to know when Santorum’s campaign is going to go after my parents. After all, when I was growing up, there weren’t any seat belts in our cars. I rode all the way from Washington State to Utah, every summer, with no safety restraint! Oh my goodness! What an appalling way to treat your child! (Surely a child’s life is worth more than a dog’s?) DISCLAIMER: Entire message written with tongue-in-cheek … !
