Newt Gingrich explains love for elephants, zoos
In an interview with Yahoo! News Newt Gingrich explained why he lost to Mitt Romney in the Republican primary. “In the end, he had, I think, sixteen billionaires and we had one,” he said. (that “one” billionaire, Sheldon Adelson, has joined team Romney since Gingrich dropped out).

Gingrich also explained why he loves zoo animals so much, elephants in particular:

“Elephants are among my favorites, partly because I’m Republican and partly because I’m big. Elephants make me feel like I’m the right size,” said Gingrich. “They’re very smart animals.”
