Jun. 28, 2012 at 12:15pmWe’ve been taken and here’s why….for this to pass there were bribes, they knew it wouldn’t pass in congress as a tax so it passed under the commerce clause then goes to the Supreme Court and passes as a tax cause it won’t pass under the commerce clause. So now all of those that voted on it in congress got out of voting on it as a tax. I say send it back and have them vote on it as it really is…a TAX!

Jun. 28, 2012 at 10:46amI actually probably got burned more than most with this decision. I have a cadillac plan insurance policy… PPO, covers everything from acupuncture to other weird things. I also make over $250G a year so my taxes are sure to go up, HOWEVER, as a Christian, I’ve never been able to reconcile the fact that a Janitor with Cancer that can’t afford insurance has less of a chance of surviving than a CEO with Cancer. EVEN WORSE, the child of a Janitor that gets cancer has less of a chance of surviving than the child of a CEO. I don’t know you guys here can reconcile that.

Those of us who work for a living, have been punished with higher health insurance premiums, so the freeloaders can have health coverage.
The freeloaders are taking money out of our pockets and are taking food out of our mouths, just so they can have a better life. The lives of we who contribute to society, have become worse.
We wouldn’t have this health care crises, if ALL the freeloading illegals were rounded up and sent back to their own countries. Then we put the American freeloaders to work, so they can pay for their own health care.

Jun. 28, 2012 at 11:07amLead, I agree with much of what you say. I can’t stand free loaders! I hate illegal aliens more than anyone as I live in Southern California. They are a disease that spreads. I would love to abolish welfare as it is today, I would build impenetrable fences on our Southern border. I am a conservative in almost every fiscal issue (other than this one I guess). However, it breaks my heart to think there are people with health problems that can’t get coverage. This year I was having some sinus headaches and my Dr. told me to get a CT scan of my brain, sinus area.. I know I didn’t pay anything, but I can’t imagine what that could have cost a family that didn’t have health care coverage.

Have you ever seen a family that couldn’t afford to pay their medical bills? Do you know what it costs out of pocket for medicine. My insurance pays for my Asthma medicine, but I see the price: OVER $300 a month!!! Tell me how many uninsured can afford something like that? BTW, I donate to charity and St. Jude’s, I do work for Make A Wish and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Lastly, do you forget that the mandate was a Republican ideal?
Now I actually have to get back to work so I can create value and really help lift our country out of the gutter.

LEADNOTFOLLOW: I hate freeloaders too-this Act does NOTHING to further them or their cause! Rather, it brings America back to what it should be disarming greed and excess for what is right! I do not speak from rumors, I speak first hand — my husband and I BOTH have worked HARD for 30+ years and are now losing our home, cars, etc., in an effort to pay for necessary life sustaining medicines and health insurance. Our pensions are gone paying for healthcare and my husband has been hospitalized twice this year for acute asthma as we cannot afford the daily medicine and our hospital bills are almost $100k. VERY VERY few get something for nothing contrary to the hype you hear and spread about everyone getting everything but you! I currently have an enlarged heart and had a heart attack and 3 strokes at 37 but cannot afford to continue care. Try watching your grandchildren play knowing you cannot take care of yourself to live long enough to enjoy them! Then complain about someone, anyone trying to fix anything! I don’t want to live like a 3rd world country and unless we continue to at least try, that’s what we’ll be! I will pray a whole lot harder today in THANKS for someone trying to fix things!

I agree with ROT_SOLDIER – we all just got a very stern reminder that this administration only has their own best interests at heart, and not the best interests of the American people. This really didn’t surprise me much…they forced the bill through the first time around, remember? It’s not really about healthcare…it’s about the government infiltrating itself into our lives however possible. Slowly, my friend, we are losing our freedoms. But fear not…if anything, this administration just put their final nail in their coffin…and real americans will only be strengthened by the tyranny of these socialist bastards.

I am a Follower of Christ and I see this all around me. It sickens me because Americans should be praying to BLESS GOD – NOT HIM BLESSING US. If we would bless God, we would be doing everything according to Jesus’ word, not ours.
First, WE MUST HUMBLE OURSELVES AS A NATION AND ASK GOD FOR HIS FORGIVENESS.
Second, WE MUST GET OUR LIVES IN ORDER, first by asking His Son to save our soul.
Third, ASK GOD TO SHOW YOU WHAT HE WANTS YOU TO DO FOR HIM AND THIS COUNTRY.
There will be very few will be able to stand as a follower of Christ before the antichrist declares himself to be the world’s leader. What happened today is just a prelude. PREPARE FOR MORE ABSURD THINGS TO HAPPEN that will enslave Americans to something they don’t want.
I for one, have asked God’s forgiveness for having my head in the sand for too long for going along to get along. SHAME ON ME. it will not happen ever again.

Jun. 28, 2012 at 10:30amBecause our govt is broke, we have maxed the Chinese credit cards and now we just bought into a “Supposed” health care law that drives us further down the whole to becoming the next Greece. You cant just make health care cheaper, it cost Millions and sometime even Billions with plenty of scrapped failures in research and development to find and then refine and then gain FDA approval for even one drug or device THATS why medicine is expensive not “greedy” drug companies. Doctors, Hospitals, Nurses, Administrators, Biomedical, Pharmaceutical companies also have to carry billions of dollars in malpractice insurance because of no tort reform. People need to pull their head out of their arses.

All they have to do is visit their local clinic that’s NOT a hospital…! You don’t have to visit the emergency room EVERY DAMN TIME you have a bleeding arm or otherwise. And I can personally attest to Black Americans running to the emergency room for EVERY little issue they have that’s health related!
This entire argument was crap! But the general public is oblivious to that fact…
I’ve used this comparison before and will again here. I’m diabetic. I take Novolin 70/30. If you were to go to a Walgreens or Walmart, that little vial might cost you around $110.00 without insurance. With insurance, you’re probably looking at $30-$40 or so, I don’t know the exact cost and here’s why.
I get my vials at the uninsured clinic,as I was actually diagnosed by them early on. They cost me $9. That’s a huge FREAKING difference in price, no matter how you look at it! And who’s paying for that difference?! You guessed it, THE INSURED! If the uninsured bothered to look around them, they can find deals best suited to them. It’s actually the Insured among us all that are getting the shaft here. We’re getting screwed over by this damn ruse and the Progressives refuse to do the right damn thing!
I want their Progressive asses out. It’s that or there’s going to be blood shed in this country. This ruling just took a step in the wrong direction.

Thanks to ObamaCare, my insurance premiums went WAY UP this year, and my coverage went down.
My insurance plan now has major restrictions. My insurance company is practically running my personal life. I can now be fired from my job if I don’t comply to my insurance company’s very intrusive demands. They even want to control my eating and exercise habits, etc.
Many of the best family doctors, specialists and surgeons have been dropped from my plan. I have to pay a small fortune, if I see a doctor or use a hospital that is not in my plan.
I’m sick of the Government running my life. The Government should not force citizens to buy health insurance. I’m sick of paying for freeloaders’ health coverage. That’s all ObamaCare is.
In my opinion, anyone who likes ObamaCare, is a lazy freeloader, who doesn’t work for a living or contribute to society in any way.

It is going to cost everyone something. We have been lied to before by this administration. The only ones who are going to get “free” healthcare are illegal aliens. Not hard working Americans who are just trying to raise their families to be responsible, law biding, God fearing adults in a world that has turned it’s back on them. That’s why this law is not good. It keeps the government in my face and life and not doing the job they are supposed to do!!

THIS WAS ALL PLANNED BY THE PROGRESSIVES to redistribute the wealth.

Jun. 28, 2012 at 9:57amWe have a pool at work about this. I also have it 6-3, but I have Sotomayor as the sixth. My reasoning is this is her return favor for the AZ immigration ruling. Even though the controversial aspect of the bill was upheld, it has no teeth and was left open to future challenges, so in effect was a win for her.
Of course, if SCOTUS really did its job, the ruling would be 9-0 to strike down obamacare in total.
