Sen. Orrin Hatch quotes ‘Top Gun’ on Senate floor
After Majority Leader Harry Reid blocked the Senate from voting on President Obama’s tax proposal today, Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch accused Senate Democrats of being unwilling or politically unable to vote on the measure.
“To borrow from the film Top Gun the president’s campaign is writing checks that Senate Democrats can’t cash,” Hatch said.
Well played, sir.

Posted on July 11, 2012 at 5:27pmYeah that dreadful “Republican controlled Congress” just can’t pass anything huh? …..Like how many times that “Republican controlled Congress” refused to pass Barry’s “Jobs Bill” I mean a 99 -0 vote against his “jobs bill”….hmmm what is that you say? The ONLY Republican controlled “anything” is the House of Representatives and the Senate is controlled by Democrats? Say it isn’t so!!! I mean come ON every “talking head liberal democrat” keeps talking about a “Republican controlled congress”…….
House of Representatives plus the Senate = US Congress…….this bit of math is brought to you so you can educate the IDIOTS that think otherwise!!! Oh yeah and the OBSTRUCTIONIST liberal Democrats in the Senate are the REAL reason for NOTHING being passed I mean come on Harry PASS THE SENTAE’s BUDGET!!!! Been way over 2 years huh?
