Poll: Obama’s tax plan more popular than GOP’s
President Obama insists on extending the Bush tax cuts for those who earn less than $250,000, but Republicans on Capitol Hill insists extending the tax cuts to all Americans is the best option to aid growth in the economy. But how do voters feel?
According to the newest poll from Rasmussen, most voters favor temporarily extending the tax cuts for those who earn less than $250,000 a year as Obama suggests, but are less enthusiastic about continuing those tax cuts permanently for all Americans.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 67% of Likely U.S. Voters agree with President Obama’s plan to extend the tax cuts for a year for those who make less than $250,000 annually. Just 20% oppose this temporary extension, and 13% are undecided.
What do you think? Take the poll:

Posted on July 17, 2012 at 7:58amThe current tax rate is a joke. The American people are far better about spending their money than the gov. Flat tax is the way to go. Make it an even playing field. Same rules apply to all, including corps. Healthcare laws need to apply to all American citizens. No special privilage for elected representives including POTS. They earn a salary for time served only. No speial pensions for them or gov. workers. The only ones that deserve special rights are those of the armed forces. They put their lives at risk for all of us and they should be well taken care of. You could say the same for cops and firefighters but I would say for them that it not be automatic. That should be based on their record and years of service. We are looking out for the wrong people in this country.

Posted on July 15, 2012 at 3:24pmNicely skewed poll, no option for making it permanent.
Should we:
Call for the resignation of the person who made it?
Find the person who made it and call them at 3:00 AM?
Pop their tires and write on their car?
Or should we tell everyone that this guy is fantastic?
(notice how there was no option to simply point out what the author of the poll missed)
This is the power of media, it is called the false choice. They do it every day because if they gave the same consideration to the green party and the libertarian party or a write-in campaign as they do to Romney and Obama, there actually would be more options, but since they say it is ludicrous that anyone else have a chance, it becomes the case. We need to be skeptical of all media, not just liberal media.
So from this I take it that this media person could not consider a world where there was a permanent bush tax cut, just a temporary extension or expiration.

Posted on July 15, 2012 at 8:49amI find it laughable that the Obama administration calls this a “tax cut”. It’s not a tax cut: it’s the current tax rate.
Of course, if Congress lets the current tax rate expire and Obama’s tax plans are implemented in 2013 (not counting Obamacare), then people will be screaming for those Bush “tax cuts”.

Posted on July 14, 2012 at 10:37pmIt’s pathetic how so many people in this country swallow the Marxist propaganda that the rich should pay higher tax rates than everybody else just b/c they’re rich.

Posted on July 14, 2012 at 3:45pmcaption on the photo should be: Under my next term, I will let you live in your house, making the payments, you will have food stamps, and all the other handouts, and since everything will be provided you will no longer need this house, it will belong to the government. Simple, huh!
