Chick-fil-A franchise owner sponsors gay pride festival

Here’s a twist to the Chick-fil-A controversy that you didn’t see coming.

Via ABC News:

[W]hile the company’s top executive is opposed to same-sex marriage, it seems one of the company’s franchise owners is not. Anthony Piccola, who manages New Hampshire’s only Chick-fil-A location in Nashua, has signed on to be a sponsor of the New Hampshire Pride Fest Aug. 11.

Piccola told ABC News in a statement, “As an independent franchise Operator I am dedicated to supporting our local community in the best ways possible and we give to a wide variety of causes in Nashua. The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect –regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender.”

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Now we get to enter the phase where Chick-Fil-A is bullied into all kinds of awkward positions to prove that they can exist within their own policy of tolerance and inclusion.

Anthony Piccola,, you can do what you want,

but, if you support Gay marriage, means you LIKE

Gay Sucking ***** and Gay Poking Anuses sexual preference,

Yuck, Eeeeewww, God does NOT approve of those perverted actions,

    Rlomans 1:24-27

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Repent – Jesus is coming Soon

I agree with Diane TX and Daveoregon…I’ll not bash anyone for freely speaking their mind. To me this is not about gay rights but freedom of speech…and the freedom to financially support companies that share your values. I am ambivalent about the gay marriage issue personally but have very strong feelings about other conservative issues. Live and let live but don’t step on MY rights to speak and think freely.

I don’t think he will last long with his franchise-they’re very picky about who and what goes on at the stores. They cannot even fully own them. They are handpicked operators. When will the circus surrounding the gay movement stop??? Quite sick of the one sided spectacle…

He has the right to express his opinion – whether you agree or not. Don;t like it – don’t be a patron of that establishment. But I respect his right as an American to express it. Whether he is or is not in violation of the franchise agreement I don;t know. That is not my concern.

I may be wrong but didn’t the Cathy family make a donation to the gay organization and Jim Henson’s daughter rejected it. This man is supporting his community. Mr Cathy’s comment was made regarding the traditional marriage. The company does not discriminate against serving the gay and lesbian community.

It’s frickin New England…. I am not shocked…. well, he may have a franchise, for now, but that can be revoked if some rules are broken or ignored….

Huh, so Gay-Pride-Parade-Priccola franchised a Chick-Fil-A? I would have pegged him as being the type of guy who is more interested in a whole different kind of restraunt …like Le Coq au Vin…

There are rules and regulations to own any franchise. If he violates them, then he should lose his franchise, however, if it does not violate the terms, and I haven’t looked up to see that it has, he, like anyone else, has the right to run their business, any way they choose.
I, being a consumer, can choose then if I will support his values, by doing business with him.
As a Christian, sexual immorality and sin, is not just homosexuality. If I am to look to what it is, sexual sin is anything, outside of marriage between a man and a woman.
Premarital sex/fornication, homosexuality, beastiality, adultery, rape, masturbation…all of the flesh, but even deeper, sexual sin comes from the heart and our thoughts, which Jesus warned, as an example, that fleshly murder was no different to God, than anger in our hearts.
As Christians, we can’t put a double standard on marriage of a man and woman, being the creation God gave sex to man/woman, and fit perfectly in that creation.

I hope at least Piccola remembers that without Dan Cathy, he’d not even have that particular franchise.

Anthony Piccola, don’t act surprised when customers stop coming to your Chick-fil-A, and it’s out of business and boarded up within six months.
You are putting yourself out of business. Why are you doing this to your employees? You will be taking away their income.

He has the right, as long as he is not vioating the franchise contract as the other poster noted. As an American – I applaud his right to support/express his opinion as he sees fit – does not matter if I agree – I can always refuse to be a patron of his particular restaurant.

Let him do as he wish’s , he may lose customers in the long run from the right to satisfy a left wing agenda but it is his choice.

Pretty much shows the difference between a person using their 1st amendment rights and a company policy, doesn’t it?

I have been hearing that Chick-Fil-A is having a banner business day. I am saddened that there isn’t one anywhere near me. I too would have supported their right to free speech with my wallet!

I don’t have a problem with this. He’s entitled to support whatever he wants – just as Mr. Cathy is. It might be a problem for the gay marriage supporters, tho.

Will they call off their boycott because of this, or will they try to force this guy to leave the organization of CFA?

So one Chick-fil-A will lose business today while the other ones see an increase. I wonder if he’ll dare to hang his support for gays in his window… that would pack them in… NOT

I knew this will show up. Ether a supporter of gay marriage or a franchise owners coming out as gay even if it means losing his job but he supports Mr. Cathy as well.
