In good company: Rev. Jesse Jackson notes that Jesus also had ‘moment of depression’

In an interview with Politico, Rev. Jesse Jackson talked about his son Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.’s ongoing treatment for bipolar disorder. He demonstrated how his son is going through the same thing Jesus did.

“When Jesus says, ‘Why has thou forsaken me?’ The idea that [he has] done all the right things that [God] asked [him] to do … it was a moment of depression, it was a depression moment, ‘Why have you forsaken me?,’” Jackson said.

Oh, I didn’t know Jesus tried to bribe a high level government official to put him into high office, and then when he got caught, checked in to the Mayo Clinic for a bipolar disorder in order to avoid jail time.

Oh please, Jackson Jr. Is as corrupt as dear old dad, maybe his conscience has started bothering him with all the corruption of Chicago where the Jackson’s are most prominent.

Instead of blaming God for his son’s depression Jackson, Sr. should look in the mirror to better understand just which “Father” is to blame for his son’s condition. What goes around comes around.

This man is allegedly a reverend yet he believes Jesus was suffering from depression when he was crucified. This really demonstrates his lack of theological understanding of Christian doctrine.
