Ron Paul Supporters Just Won’t Give Up
What’s that? Β A Ron Paul 2012 sign on the floor of the Republican National Convention that is being held to nominate Mitt Romney as the party’s presidential candidate?
Yes, indeed. Shortly after the convention officially convened (and was immediately declared in recess due to the storm-related postponement of activities), Ron Paul supporters took to the convention floor to support their preferred candidate.
There were cheers and shouts of support for Ron Paul that drew a small crowd and attracted the attention of some of the television crews milling about to interview the delegates.
Overheard at the scene, one delegate observed: “Mitt Romney never creates this kind of excitement.”
Here are a few other shots of the convention floor for your entertainment:

Ron Paul lost the nomination by a landslide. The other major losing candidates (both of whom got more votes and delegates than Mr. Paul) conceded defeat months ago, putting the interest of the party ahead of their own selfish agendas. This is standard fare for political primary races, as candidates will, in the end, put the best interest of the party first.
Ron Paulβs problem stems from the fact that heβs really not a Republican at all, and thus doesnβt really care about sabotaging the party. He refused to concede a race that he clearly lost by a huge margin, instead choosing to demand his 15 minutes of fame at the convention. His supporters attempted to sabotage the process by installing him as the βrightfulβ candidate in some sort of fringe coup attempt. In the end, their antics only served to divide the party. If left unchecked, they could very well have destroyed the Republicansβ chance of winning the election in November. Thus, Mr. Paul and his selfishness had to be stopped.
Political conventions are not in of themselves democracies. The democratic part of the process happened months ago when voters chose the candidate they wanted to represent their party. The convention is a time for the entire party to rally behind that candidate and lay out a clear path to victory in the upcoming election. Any assertions to the contrary by Mr. Paul show at best a failure to understand the political process and

Posted on August 27, 2012 at 8:34pmRon Paul’s “my way or the highway” message is very selfish * arrogant.
RP doesn’t have a team player bone in his body.
Also – claiming Private Bradley Manning is just a “whistle blower” is priceless.

Posted on August 27, 2012 at 7:04pmDelegates should not be told who they have to vote for. That defeats the purpose. Delegates are representatives. There is nothing in the constitution that says delegates must vote in accordance with preference polls. Preference polls are easily manipulated. As in voter fraud.

Posted on August 27, 2012 at 6:22pmRomney is not going to be president and they will make sure of that. Romney is not an option, nobody likes him, he is a felon and he got through with fraud and rigged elections. they need to nominate Paul on the floor and if unsuccessful help Gary Johnson win.

i love the people at the blaze…but if you do a side by side comparison of Obama vs. Romney’s voting records, there isn’t much of a difference. It’s just campaign rhetoric that sets them apart.

Chances our however, rather than investigate what you have stated, most will take the easy road and simply criticize you. After all, who wants to come face to face with reality when the dream is so much easier to support.
