Mia Love camp on poll standing mix-up: Megyn Kelly ‘misspoke’
A spokeswoman for Mia Love says Fox News’ Megyn Kelly was in the wrong when she said yesterday that Love told her she was polling ahead in her congressional race.
Love, who is running for the U.S. House in Utah, appeared on Fox News Tuesday to talk about her upcoming speech at the Republican convention. During the segment, Kelly asked Love about her standing in the race, noting that she was behind her opponent in the polls. “We’re going to win,” Love responded. But after a short break, Kelly came back on camera and told viewers Love told her that she is actually ahead in polls.
We looked to see if there are any polls in which Love is ahead. There aren’t.
Alisa Essig, a spokeswoman for Love, said Kelly “misspoke.” Fox News has not responded to request for comment.
