Christie challenged to chin-up contest by Gov. Jerry Brown

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said earlier this week that when California voters chose Jerry Brown as governor, they “made the bad choice by going with an old retread.”

Brown responded while speaking to a local union group in Los Angeles. “There’s nothing wrong with a little retread,” he said. “I hereby challenge Gov. Christie to a three-mile race, a push-up contest and a chin-up contest. Whatever he wants to bet, I have no doubt of the outcome.”

If you didn’t know, Christie is overweight and Brown is 74 years old.

Brown may be 74, but he has the mind of a child. Nah-nah.

Well, I was gonna say that right after the chin-up contest they should immediately move over to the pie-eating contest, but that wouldn’t be nice. However, I think the balanced budget contest was brilliant! Wish I’d thought of it first.

Maybe Christie should challenge him to a state balanced budget contest?

I’m pretty sure Mr Christie would refuse to have an intellectual battle with Mr Brown, as Mr Christie is too much of a class act to battle an unarmed man.

Christie should show up for the race in a Jersey built stock car and watch as Jerry tries to win the race in his ergonomically correct running shoes. When it comes to the other two contests, he should merely concede. Then he should challenge Jerry to BALANCE his state’s budget!

So jerrry can do pullups. Christie can pull the bar below his chin. What’s your point jerry? Christie can bench press a state deficit, pimp slap corrupt teachers unions, and still have time to make cool commercials.

Yes, and Jerry Brown will win the brown nose contest, for which Christie would not qualify!

It was a big mistake that CA makes over and over again. I voted for Meg Whitman, but she got smeared by Tabloid Gloria Allred.

He may lose to you in a race, Moonbeam, but I’ll bet he can kick your az after it!
How about a debate, Moonbeam, where Christie can quote you, and you can elaborate on it?

“The conventional viewpoint says we need a jobs program and we need to cut welfare. Just the opposite! We need more welfare and fewer jobs.” – Jerry Brown

“We have to be realistic about what the state can afford, and put an end to abuses of the system that cost millions.” – Jerry Brown “Eh-que me?” – Woodyee

“In some cases, managers and employees have secured pensions beyond their original base salary. It is wrong, the people doing it know it’s wrong, and we have to put an end to it.” – says the man who unionized CA State employees – Jerry Brown

I’d rather be fat than have a head full of fat.
Moonbeam Brown is arguably the most incompetent governor in all the states. The people of California love him.

    To which Christie might reply, “OK, we’ll race our *cars*–then you’ll bench-press me & I’ll bench-press you!”

rather than a “chin up” Moonbeam should be challenged to the state of indebtedness of the two states and what they are doing to dig themselves out from under the weight of that crushing debt.
