Fox News’ O’Reilly announces 90-min. debate with Jon Stewart
In his “Talking Points Memo” tonight, Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly announced he’ll be pairing up with Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart for a 90-minute debate. It will stream online on Oct. 6.
O’Reilly said the debate will center on three topics: the national debt, American relations in Muslim countries and gas prices.
“I feel so strongly about this that I’m teaming up with my pal Jon Stewart to do a 90-minute debate on those and other vital issues,” O’Reilly said.
He said they were calling it “The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium” and it will be formatted like a presidential debate, “without all the phoniness and pomposity.” Furthermore, O’Reilly said there will be a Q&A with the live audience and those streaming online can submit questions.
The tickets are available for pre-order at TheRumble2012.com for $4.95. O’Reilly said fifty-percent of the profits “if there are any” will go to “a bunch of very worthy charities.”
The New York Post‘s Cindy Adams wrote this morning and said CNN anchor E.D. Hill will moderate.
From The O’Reilly Factor:
And here’s the promo for the debate:
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isnβt really about controlling guns at all; itβs about controlling us. Posted on September 19, 2012 at 2:14pmIt’s $4.95 to watch online. I don’t have it and I assume that it’ll be paid with a credit card. I don’t have a
credit card. Will it be cash? If so, that that’s PayPal. I don’t have a PayPal account either.

I wonder what genius came up with this idea? Who are the sponsors? This is a case where the advertising dollars would be better spent if handed to some children’s charity. And they have the balls to charge to view it? Give me a break!

Posted on September 18, 2012 at 1:14pmOne recent ad pointed out that percentage-wise, Obama has spent the lowest percent on government since Eisenhower. My rebuttal: 8T$, spent it on the Chinese? Libya? Aflannelstan? Romney Care? Welfare? Solyndra. In any of his behind closed door legislations, did he bring the troops home like he promised? Close any prisoner of war camps? Talk to the Boy Scouts on their 100th anniversary? Save any moderate Arab leaders from slaughter? Save a single gun for drug trade, stop the slaughter of even one of the 50000 Mexican citizens killed via his open border funded drug gangs? Encourage free enterprise or actual “I did that” entrepreneurial activity of a single lemonade stand? say nice things about the Chamber of Commerce promoting business in communities across the nation? Nope. and so ” I don’t like him”. He’s a very bad guy in my book and I don’t see him creeping out of that dark corner anytime soon with a glad hand, smile, or Letterman appearance. And as for the millions of his Pavlovian followers who can’t believe what they are reading here, tough! “I approve this message”, and without any suggests or arm twisting or hopey changey PC boloney. i.e. Disclaimer: No tea or socialist class hatreds were involved, invoked, spilled, percolated, or dribbled to produce this message.

Posted on September 18, 2012 at 8:53amThis is awesome. Comedy Central vs Fox News. FNN probably didn’t want to go head to head with an actual news network, so they decided to try and go with the funny guys. Problem is the funny guy is more than likely going to leave the actual “journalist” looking like he belongs on Comedy Central.
