Thomas Sowell warns against voting for symbolism

In a new video from the Hoover Institute’s Uncommon Knowledge, conservative columnist and author Thomas Sowell discusses how President Obama’s use of executive power has fundamentally altered the balance of powers between the branches of the federal government. In addition, Sowell warns that if America votes for a candidate on the basis of symbolism in November, all will be lost:

Mr Sowell is an intellectual powerhouse. He speaks on a level that lay people can understand while delivering practical knowledge and wisdom. He is my favorite commentator.

Just listening to Mr. Sowell I can feel my IQ raising. What a towering intellect and American treasure. If only America would listen. He has so much to offer and guide us with.

  I enjoy listeing to him as well. An intellectual powerhouse! I wonder why the smartest people in this country, particularly those of the black race, are those who came up during the civil rights movement?
