Obama’s Bastardization Of American Icons Shows Disdain For States

As the front page has reported, the Obama campaign is currently selling a print of the American flag that replaces the field of stars with his own logo. As anyone who made it through elementary school knows, those stars each represent one of the states in the union. Now take a look at the official Obama twitter account said of this piece of swag:

A poster to say there are no red states or blue states, only the United States

Do I have to restate the obvious here? The American flag as it exists makes that statement. There are fifty white stars with nothing to distinguish Red State from Blue State. What this Obama flag does is ominously replace the emblem of fifty sovereign entities with a political logo.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that the president has bastardized an American icon. Do we all remember his version of the Great Seal of the United States?

Similar to what he’s done to the flag, Obama replaced the those elements in the Great Seal, the shield that bears 13 stripes and stars that represent the sovereign states, with his own personal logo.

It appears to me that we have a pattern emerging. The president clearly seems to think that, at least as far as American iconography goes, representing the states is extraneous. Not surprising considering he seems to believe sovereign states are merely vestigial organs of a republic that’s being shoved aside for a “small ‘d’ democracy.”

  Whenever Obama speaks, out comes the “finger of blame.” He is constantly pointing that finger and putting the blame on someone for his shortcomings. The way he called down the governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer, on how he was portrayed in her book instead of offering her aid as she fought for her border control agents was unforgivable on Obama’s part. After Obama visited with her, he let Jan Brewer know that they would get NO MORE help from the feds on keeping our borders safe. They weren’t even allowed to call a federal office–there zip code was blocked!! These borders also keep terrorists out of America, Obama!! This president has got to be voted out or we will see an America we won’t recognize very soon.

When I first saw this I saw 5 semi red stripes, not 9 stripes. So I am trying to figure what these represent and I came up with the world. There are 7 continent but many scientists say 6 as they consider euroasia as one. In other parts of the world Antarctica is not taught to be a continent and has a zero population and there is no real continental outline,, so you have 5 . And of course Obama logo on top where the 50 states were located. What do you think?

This was just the enemy checking the fences for weaknesses to see what they can get away with. This guy will continue to check the fences until he finds a weak spot and then he will destroy whatever he touches. His wife said they want to re-write history–how do you do that–by framing the argument to your advantage when unopposed on an issue.

Obama does not care about America and he never has. His wife “wasn’t proud to be an American until now” he was running for office. Her words during a stop in 2008. Also on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdjoHA5ocwU is this post where Obama tells African-Americans to for for him because of the color of his skin. It was posted back in January of this year. What a racist. How can anyone support him. Romney would be crucified if he did that.

  I agree completely with you. And now I think about people complaining on Romney’s comment about the 47% of Americans, yet no one said word one about this. What about the white Americans? Or the Native Americans? Or even the Mexican Americans??

There are only 9 stripes on this “O”bnoxious flag, and not 13 which represents the 13 original colonies. Is this an Obama snub toward colonialism / capitalism, in true Marxist form? I wonder…

Obama is scarey for America. I feel like I am the only one in my crowd who sees the “emperer has no clothes on”. There are many blind followers. Most do not even care about the issues.

I just don’t understand how this POS in “OUR” White house is allowed to continue defacing our constitution, our flag, and our freedoms without any repercussions.

This goes way deeper than the loss of state sovereignty. This man wants to become King not just of the U.S. but of the United Nations.

This video, although certainly questionable as to its accuracy, if watched merely as a “movie” gives deep insight into this man’s mindset.

I am not surprised at this…from day one BO always said “My administration”, I…Me….Mine…always acting like he is “da man”. The problem is he always passes the buck if there is even a tiny problem. I am terrified because the socialist-in-chief is supposed to be the commander-in-chief to my son who is a Navy Corpsman (or if you’re BO “corpse man”)

As a homeschool mom this great news. I can stop teaching the states and capitols.(lol)
I may need to contact his campaign for the new indoctrination material.
