Tony Blair: U.S. should give up on ‘being loved’
Sometimes being the world’s greatest power and most beloved country don’t go together. It’s the mark of a true leader to be able to pursue the distinction best for his country.
This is a lesson former British Prime Minister Tony Blair understands well after falling out of public favor with his support of wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. But Blair sees the United States backtracking, swapping out its position as the world’s superpower in exchange for popularity.
βIf I were you, I would sort of give up on being loved,β Blair said today on MSNBCβs βMorning Joe.β βIf thatβs your ambition as still the worldβs greatest power, give up on it, because itβs not going to happen.β
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isnβt really about controlling guns at all; itβs about controlling us. Posted on September 26, 2012 at 4:54pmThanks to Obama America has lost its hard earned respect. Now has to work hard to regain it. American doesn’t need the world’s love. She has enough people here who love her and are willing to stand beside her to protect her.

Posted on September 26, 2012 at 4:51pmThank you, Tony Blair. At last truth be told! WHY should we care if the world loves us or not? It doesn’t matter because we still give with our hearts and NO ONE comes close to that. Besides they will never love us BUT they will still continue to take our hard earned money. The politicians spout this nonsense and the American people know better.

Posted on September 26, 2012 at 4:47pmNO one has to love us But they must respect us. If they do not then we write them off especially no $$$$. We need to completely revise our foriegn policy. Peaceful demonstrations outside should be tolerated. Violent demonstrations shoul be subdued immediately. If a country cannot or will not protect us then we pull out. That is what gains you respect.
