A new ad from North Carolina gubernatorial candidate Walter Dalton takes racial rhetoric in political campaigns to a whole new level. If others have played the race card, Dalton is throwing out the whole deck, claiming his opponent — Republican Pat McCrory — just doesn’t understand the African-American experience.”
As images of segregation, violence and exploitation of African-Americans flash in the background, several minorities denounce McCrory’s candidacy. At one point in the “history lesson” ad, images of segregation-era police strangling and hosing down black protesters are used to condemn McCrory’s support for voter ID laws and state budget cuts.
If the race-baiting weren’t bad enough, the video goes on to say that McCrory isn’t just bad for African-Americans, but he’s bad for everyone in North Carolina — ostensibly including the children working in Industrial Revolution-era factories whose pictures make the case.
WATCH:
McCrory is firing back against Dalton’s “deeply offensive and negative” ad. ”Dalton’s continued flagrant political attacks won’t improve his standing in the polls because North Carolinians are looking for a leader like Pat McCrory with the experience and vision to fix the state’s broken economy and broken government,” he said in a statement.

Sep. 30, 2012 at 8:09pmWhat does it say about a democrat candidate when he thinks that minorities and other poor people can’t actually manage to come up with photo voter ID? How would those folks ever be able to cash a check, let alone open a bank account. How about them being disenfranchised as to ever getting on an airplane.

Sep. 30, 2012 at 2:34pmObama is opening the doors of immigration so there will be more conflict for the freebies in this country. He is trying to break the finances of this country and pit one against the other. I believe this man is truly a foreign agent and was enabled by Marxists/Communists to come in under the guise of some type of Socialist organizer who is not showing his true motives. People better beward of this man for he is evil and dividing the country to do his dirty work. Do not vote for him. He is going to cheat this election to stay in power, anyway because he knows if he is out he will likely be arrested along with those who has helped in the attempt to destroy this Republic.

Sep. 30, 2012 at 2:22pmObama is coming on like a foreign agent who cares for neither race. He has a job to do and that is to destroy this country. He is using the fringes and ethnics to assist in the divisive part of the plan to enable the success of his agenda. If you are an American, especially a Christian, you are a target. Obama has him a war going without appearing to dirty his own hands. He is using the blacks as tools. He despises all America.

Sep. 30, 2012 at 1:59pmTell the Nagras we care just as much about them as they care about us White folks. We will give them as much as give us. We owe them no more. Most of them and/or their parents came to this country long after the ‘slavery’ era and are playing slave ***** to get benefits, sympathy and/or goodies. We owe them nothing. Pull your weight or move on to where you are happy.

Sep. 30, 2012 at 1:09amAt some point, this must stop. Thank you Barry Sorrento for setting the bar for this tactic. Walter Dalton you are an idiot for choosing follow that pattern. It only proves how corrupt you are, and you do realize that this has become a part of political history, so when you lose, this is your legacy. For you, your family and your children’s children: yep, great grandpa did endorse that!

Sep. 29, 2012 at 8:59pmAs I’v stated many times, I’m just a Black as Obama is, Yet These So-called Brothers and Sisters whom are part of the, ” New World Order Of, Socialist/Democrats,” are an Ofence to me and My Fellow NORMAL Americans. WE do not refer to ourselves as African-Americans! We Where Born Here as where our Parents and Their Parents before them, Why should Any American Need to go around our Country with this TAG on our Lives, Either we ARE AMERICANS or Not. And if Not, Try moving to Africa, Where they Still KILL EACH OTHER, Black on Black, On White On Black! Just see how long you remain alive my Brothers. Half of them are Islamic/Muslim’s themselves, You all should fit in fine, But Leave our COUNTRY ALONE, We where doing better without Obama in the Lime-Light.

Sep. 29, 2012 at 5:42pmFour out of five North Carolinians are NOT African American ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_North_Carolina#Racial_Makeup_and_Population_Trends) – were I his opponent I would consider running an ad that says it’s impossible for my opponent to understand what 80% of North Carolinians are going through, while showing scenes of happy, two-parent families enjoying their suburban back yard, hiking in state parks, getting up and driving to work.
Of course I’d never run the ad, but I’d consider it.
If you want to play the race card, why pick the minority side?

Sep. 30, 2012 at 2:28pmThese average salaries are bull crap. Average? Whos is making 250 or even 50 thousand dollars in many of the states? Some are living off of the scraps and homeownership has been way out of reach for most people for years. I know of homes that were 3000 dollars or less to build and they are selling for 80 thousand dollars. I know of a brick home that originally sold for 17 thousand dollars and 125 thousand dollars would probably not buy it. Who is the real estate lobbists kidding. They are running these prices through the roof and people are not sustaining the jobs for any period of time to keep them. It is all nothing but a scam as to who takes from the poor the quickest and without being the most obvious. Most people are sick of all of those who have been using others to line their pockets with their high taxes and living off the government like they are some kind of choice person. They are nothing but thieves in suits, the lot of them.

Sep. 30, 2012 at 10:44pmHey BlackyB Real Estate is a commodity, the law of supply and demand applies. It doesn’t matter what it costs to build, or what it sold for originally. All that matters is what someone is willing to pay for it. If you want to know WHY real estate is so high, look at the Community Reinvestment Act that required banks to make loans to people without regard to their ability to repay the loan, and the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac passing out mortgages without down payments or underwriting. When 50 people can get financing to buy one house, the seller can sell it to the highest bidder. THAT drives up prices. Houses that are worth $50000 here in Texas would sell for $1.2 million in Silicon Valley because they have more buyers than they have houses to sell. I get really depressed when I realize how much more house I could’ve gotten in Texas for what I spent in Arizona. Of course now that the housing bubble has popped, houses in Arizona are selling for a lot less than they were 5 years ago.

Sep. 29, 2012 at 4:29pmHow about a turn-around (Alinsky tactic)?
Those BLACK people have NO IDEA what it’s like to be WHITE and have that stinkin’ RACE CARD relentlessly thrown in our faces… when WE had NOTHING to do with their color or their standing in society. Like Bill Cosby would say: LOOK IN THE MIRROR, BLACK FOLKS.

Sep. 29, 2012 at 4:25pmA LAUGHABLE ad! WHO do they think they are kidding? (And what’s with the 1800s-photos of white folks??!) Sounds like that Dalton guy is PART OF THE PROBLEM as far as the HOUSING DEBACLE… helping unqualified people get home loans they obviously would default on…
America is SOOOOOO SICK of the RACE CARD! GIVE IT UP!
PS: If being BLACK IN AMERICA is so da*ned hard, maybe the human race ought to focus on BREEDING IT OUT OF EXISTENCE, sort of like a BIRTH DEFECT? Yeah, am sure that is a RACIST sentiment. TOO BAD. Cry WOLF long enough, and it’s gonna backfire, you idiots!

Sep. 29, 2012 at 2:09pmDo you live in NC? If you do, then YOU are part of the problem with this state. If you don’t, then you know nothing about what goes on here. I DO live here, and there is no way “Walk the Dog” is going to win. We have had more than enough of the democrats fouling this state. The democrats have made this state into the cesspool that it is now, and it’s going to change come November.

“Republican Pat McCrory — just doesn’t understand the African-American experience”.
And that other crakkah does?!
History lessons: let’s see — which party did Bull Connor, George Wallace, Lester Maddox, Orval Faubus belong to? (Here’s a hint: its mascot was not an elephant.) Someone needs lessons alright, but that’s not McCrory.
