President Barack Obama’s once historic support from the 18-29 “youth” demographic has declined in a big way, TheBlaze reported earlier this year. So, in an attempt to win over this large and decisive voting bloc, the conservative group American Majority Action has launched “Students Against Barack Obama,” a project that focuses specifically on the disillusioned and/or undecided “youth” vote.

“For young Americans, the combined economic hardship of unemployment and debt has never been worse in modern history,” said AMA president and CEO Ned Ryun.

“Mix a 17 percent youth unemployment rate with $26,000 in average student loan debt, and it’s no wonder young Americans are abandoning President Obama in droves. His policies have hurt them more than anybody else,” he adds.

And in their ongoing effort to convince younger voters that the president hasn’t really done them any favors, AMA on Monday launched its first web ad titled “Want Jobs? Fire Obama!”

“It’s cheeky, yet fitting, to call this organization ‘Students Against BO,’ because President Obama’s policies have stunk for young Americans,” said founder of “Students Against Barack Obama” and director of AMA’s Campus Action project Celia Bigelow.

“Under President Obama’s government spending and regulation spree, youth unemployment has remained at depression levels. Under President Reagan’s tax policies, youth employment rose 43 percent,” she adds.

“Conservative policies empower businesses to hire young people, while Obama’s policies have taken money from these businesses and given it to political bureaucrats. If young Americans want less debt and more jobs, they should join us and register their friends to help us fire Obama this November.”
