Republicans like reality TV, Democrats like cartoons
A new study shows that Democrats and Republicans are deeply divided, even when it comes to what they like watching on TV.
From the New York Times:
Over all, the Democratic list contained a lot of animated comedies — “The Cleveland Show,” “Family Guy,” “American Dad” — as well as lightly viewed but critically acclaimed sitcoms like “30 Rock” and “Community.”
The Republican list, beyond sports (Nascar was also big), was populated with a host of reality shows — “The Biggest Loser,” “Survivor,” “American Idol” and “The Amazing Race.’
No matter which side you fall on– that’s a lot of bad television.

Posted on October 12, 2012 at 2:03pmI do not consider The Biggest Loser, nor The Amazing Race, bad television. The biggest loser shows the people who are over weight that there is a way to lose and that they are not alone.
The Amazing Race takes me, the viewer, to places all over the world and I find the show totally entertaining..

Posted on October 12, 2012 at 11:31amI have to admit, when I watch TV, it’s mostly kids channels with shows I either watched in High school, or remakes of older shows. Movies I tend to avoid but when I do they are generally in the same vein. They are about the only shows anymore that actually focus on story instead of getting a view point across or shock value or in the case of reality tv simply low cost to produce.
