Inconvenient truths continue tricking out of Benghazi. While Democrats try and counter Republican criticisms over the lack of security at the American consulate with budget cuts, Oversight Committee chairman Darrell Issa says this excuse is bogus — that, in fact, the Obama administration is sitting on more than $2 billion earmarked for diplomatic security to prevent tragedies like the death of U.S. Ambassador Stevens Benghazi:
Issa claims the State Department will not spend the already approved funds because they didn’t want to the appearance of needing increased security.
“The fact is, they [the State Department.] are making the decision not to put the security in because they don’t want the presence of security,” Issa said. “That is not how you do security.”
With Republicans turning the Libya into a political issue, Democrats have countered that House GOP leaders actually sought to cut funding for embassy security, which Issa tried to refute.
“You can’t always look to [new] money when there’s money sitting there,” Issa said. “We’re going through a ‘Mission Accomplished’ moment. Eleven years after Sept. 11 [2001], Americans were attacked by terrorists who pre-planned to kill Americans. That happened, and we can’t be in denial.”

Oct. 16, 2012 at 5:36amI have to recall just a few short days ago I logged onto Facebook and spoke out on Romney and how I thought he was was not just one of /or my Vote He was the only vote I could cast and one I thought that the country had to make for its future. And when I did I was attacked as anything from Racist to Stupid for falling into his trap, Boy what a few days change, I did the same thing recently and you should have seen the favorable response I received. I guess the country has learned a very valuable lesson. I just wish they did not have to keep on learning the same lesson over and over and over. Boy what a difference a few days make. Thank God for America and the ample supply of CHOICES ……………. Disabled vet.

Oct. 15, 2012 at 6:05pmI simply do not understand the effects of an Executive Order issued by the Presedent of the United States.
Recently, I was told that almost every President has issued some within the Terms of his Office.
What happens to them? do they become law, ignored by the next President, take them home wih them when not reelected? What??
I understand President Obama has issued at least 923 within 40 Months..what does that mean and how does that affect the Constitution and “WE The PeopLe”?
Anyone!?

Oct. 15, 2012 at 5:57pmThere are no words that can undo the horriffic Lybia murders and total abuse of our Country’s Flag. If our Government is “sitting” on adquate funds to cover necessary protection to our People, weather at Home or Abroad, then, USE IT!!!!!!! It is after all, Tax Payers Money, and that is what it is there for.
However, covering up for self interest and total incompetence to do ones job,is unexcuseable. so, get out , go home, and stay there.
WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND IT’S GOVERNMENT?

Oct. 15, 2012 at 3:58pmOver the months before our Diplomats were MURDERED, the level of security at our Embassy in Libya was REDUCED. The appearance of security would indicate a level of STRENGTH to the Enemies of Freedom that the Obama Administration does not wish to recognize since the O.A. can’t even say ” War On Terror ” ! Political correctness, ineptitude, lack of positive leadership, failure to recognize that Radical Islam might be a thread on the ANNIVERSARY of 9 – 11 or any other day ! The Dem-Lib-Soc-Prog-Comms are anti-security and anti-self / family protection. Government will protect you, HA ! No thanks, I will protect my family and myself, thank you.
