NYT’s Bill Keller offers Romney debate advice he won’t take
Chances of Mitt Romney taking advice from anyone other than the people on his campaign are slim. And chances of him taking advice from Bill Keller, former New York Times executive editor, are even slimmer. Especially when that advice is to sound more like President Obama.
Keller writes in a column today what he thinks Romney should do in tonight’s debate:
“I’d describe myself as a qualified admirer of President Obama’s foreign policy. It is reactive and rarely inspiring, but judicious and flexible. Romney shows little instinct for a dangerously complex world. But in the spirit of nonpartisanship, here’s my advice to the challenger. …”
That advice includes essentially the opposite of what Romney will probably do: “Go easy on Benghazi,” “Say something nice about the Palestinians” and “Cool it on China.”

Posted on October 22, 2012 at 2:59pmOh, yes Obama has done a fantastic job with foreign affairs (tongue in cheek). The White House lies and change stories faster then they can get explanations published (Libya). Fast and Furious still open and no answers. What other guns have been handed out to our enemies who they think are friends (maybe Brotherhood). So many unanswered questions. Yes, Al Quaida or branches are alive and well. What about the things he whispered to the Russia man saying that when elected he would be more flexible. Things are not better.
