Guards at Tomb of the Unknown Soldier want to say ‘thank you’

After hearts poured out to the guys standing guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington Cemetery as Hurricane Sandy bore down on the East Coast, the sentinels have a special message of thanks for the thoughts & prayers.

Yep: THEY want to thank YOU.

Here’s your slice of humble pie for the day:

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

They were probably a little embarrassed by all of the praise that they received. Although I’m sure they did appreciate it. I’m sure they just see it as their duty. I would also imagine they are hand picked in order to have this detail. They take Great Pride in what they do, so Honor just naturally come with it. God Bless Our Military.

These soldiers are the BEST OF US, Honor Duty Country, even though the tomb in which they guard has service men of our past, they guard the sacrifice of those who died so we now can live free. They guard that sacrifice even in the worst conditions to show the face of HONOR DUTY and SACRIFICE,,,,no Sir we thank you

Men of Honor. Thank you!!! My husband always signed his letters, Duty, Honor, Country. Though he died at a young age, I know he sees the job you do and salutes.

It takes a very special person to volunteer for this duty. I do not see how anyone could do this without a great love for their country and for those who have sacrificed for their country. You will never have to tell these men to stand tall. Thank you.

It is refreshing to see that someone in our government, no matter what is happening, is standing vigilant and ready. No excuses, they are always there, faithful to their duty. God Bless Them.
