Cubans in America vs. Cuban-Americans
The Wall Street Journal points out an interesting divide in voting among America’s Cuban population — those born in Cuba tilt right while those born in America tilt left.
Specifically, Cuban-born voters living in Florida voted Tuesday for Mitt Romney, 55% to 45%.  But, American-born Cubans voted overwhelmingly for President Obama, 60% to 40%.  One of those Cuban-Americans summed up the difference between the divided voting blocs:
Like many Cuban-Americans here, Mark Blanco says he grew up in a strictly Republican family that revered Ronald Reagan and reliably voted for GOP candidates every election.
So he says his grandfather fumed when Mr. Blanco told him he was casting a ballot for President Barack Obama on Election Day. “He was very heated and red in the face,” said Mr. Blanco, 33 years old. “He thinks Obama is a socialist.”
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Posted on November 10, 2012 at 1:07pmI am a U.S born Cuban-American and I can tell you that I had to convince my father who is Cuban born but came to the United States in 1940 to vote for Romney. He was raised in NY and has always been a Democrat and on election night he called me and told me that he voted for Romney with a lump in his throat. It was hard for him. Many of my friends voted for Obama and they are Cuban-Americans. I do not understand how they can not see what I see or listen to their elders who listen to his empty words and see his empty promises. I worked when I could for the Romney campaign and I can tell you that there was real fear among the elders in our community in Miami. Venezuelans also told me that they see what happened in Venezuela happening here. I have felt fear and despair for our country after this election. I fear for my children’s future but at least I am teaching them. Communism is very real and it is not even spoken about. We do not have a lot of time in trying to get our message out. There are more ignorant and dependant people in our society and that is how the election was won because the record speaks for itself. For a party that says they care for the poor and unfortunate, they have just voted to make them even more poor. I have faith in God but I wish that we did not have to go through the pain that we are about to go through. God help us.

Posted on November 11, 2012 at 3:51pmAmen. I was born in Cuba and came here as a child. My whole family voted Romney, but the university graduates ( nieces and nephews) were all indoctrinated to vote for the Marxist. America is popping them out of the colleges like pop tarts. Flat, utopian dopes. God help is is right.

Posted on November 10, 2012 at 8:54amI am a Cuban born, hard line conservative, and very God fearing. The reason is not were you are born, but the indoctrination our kids are brought in. Cuban parents are on the loosing side of moral, Christian, conservative values just as American Families are. The traditions and respect for elders is run a mock, just because of the new converted freedoms given to young Americans including my 4 kids. We not only loose our tradition, and values, we too loose kids to libertine ideas and the free generational gap soon is the result. I pray loudly for the salvation of this country and for the salvation of our youth. I confess that as a 7 to 9 years of age a young man in Cuba I was mentally and physically torture of which I strongly tell my children and I can see that I have only a 50/50 chance in winning them over to my ideas. God Help Us All!, Amen!

Posted on November 12, 2012 at 7:42amI value and respect your experience, sir, and pray your family will open their eyes, ears and hearts to the truth of what you are saying. I believe you and share your sentiments as do the people who enjoy the truth reported on this website.
The indoctrination of our youth is astonishing. We need an affluent Republican venture capitalist company to produce honest textbooks and we need to encourage more young conservatives to get public administration higher education degrees so they become principals and get to choose the school textbooks (elementary, high school and college).

Posted on November 10, 2012 at 5:08am75% of immigrants from Cuba that became citizens in the US wouldn’t vote for Obama because they say he reminds them of Castro, that’s a fact I read about a week ago. They have seen the horrors of Marxism & know that after America it’s all over. No military to defend the remaining countries that offer freedom & democracy. It’s such a shame that young, indoctrinated Americans don’t know any better & don’t have the respect for their elders that would cause them to really listen to their perspective. A flashy suit promising them stuff that he’ll never deliver gets more trust than those that did all they could to give them freedom & the chance to do anything they set their minds to in a capitalist America. It’s so sad.
