Hannity finally gets some press
Despite nearly always leading in cable news ratings during the 9 p.m. hour, Fox News’ Sean Hannity gets very little attention from press outside of conservative media. Every now and again a guest on his show says something that makes headlines but Hannity himself, as a personality, is largely ignored.
The reason: He’s predictable. Hannity’s loyal audience loves it but there’s nothing newsworthy about saying the same thing over and over (Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, “Obama media,” etc.)
That changed yesterday. On his radio show Hannity said he had “evolved” on the issue of immigration. He said fixing the immigration problem is “simple” and suggested creating “a pathway [to citizenship] for those people that are here.”
The claim gained him some infamy:
“Hannity: I’ve ‘evolved’ on immigration and support a ‘pathway to citizenship’”– Politico
“Sean Hannity: I’ve ‘evolved’ on immigration”– Washington Post
“Fox News star Sean Hannity suddenly likes immigration reform”– Los Angeles Times
“Sean Hannity Flips On Immigration Reform, Now Supports Pathway To Citizenship”– Huffington Post
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Posted on November 9, 2012 at 6:54pmRepublicans are NOT anti-immigration, they are pro-rule-of-law.
We have a border and immigration policy that is totally unenforced and allows anyone to walk into our country.
The only thing that prevents complete chaos is that people who walk in are at least illegal and have to deal with the risk of being tossed out, even as remote as that is.
So if you make illegal immigrants legal, you might as well have NO immigration requirements, because people will pour into the country knowing that they can get free citizenship eventually.
Any policy that does not deal with this is a joke, like the scam they pulled on Reagan.
I suggest we Annex mexico – convert it’s states into territories with a 20 year plan to make them states. During that time we can establish law in Mexico, resolve the language issue (one way or another) and move the border defense to Guatemala.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 9:25amHannity just flinched. Immigrants do not care about immigration policy. They only want their hand-outs. Of course we know the pit-falls of chosing that path but immigrants can exist far better in this country on welfare than they could at home working 60 hours a week. Immigration reform will NOT move the needle one bit. Even if we are able to pick off 5% which would be good, those gains will be negated by a flood of new immigrants. Sadly now there is only one way to reverse this course and that is the path of economic failure. The European Union is finished. There is no path to recovery there. Countries like Japan and Britain however will always have a shot if they want it through their natural water borders. Ireland has gone through severe austerity measures and now they are coming out of it. Japan has recently decided to let the Yen rise. Many predict the two lost decades to be over. Canada is another fine example. Yes they are socilist. But yet they exist responsibly. They do not reject the need for obvious things like oil. Obama has no intention of existing responsibly and there in lies the rub. Obama and his ilk want revolution. They really do not want a peaceful transformation to socialism. That takes responsible government and leadership. I see no Angela Merckel in the Obama camp.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 9:21amSean is a great guy but I think he is missing the boat. Ronald Reagan gave amnesty to millions of illegals in 1986 but then no one since then actually enforced the law as intended and the result it untold millions of immigrants are waiting in the wings to vote for Democrats! Reagan saw this act as humane and he was assured by a Democratic Congress he was doing a great thing for the country. Then they proceeded to make sure ICE would never be able to enforce the law by making sure technology advances and personnel were not in place to insure success. After all–rich people in DC needed to be able to afford gardeners and cooks while maintaining several homes! I believe we should have the same policy as Mexico and the other countries who allow the human hoards to cross our southern border on a daily basis–no tolerance, no exceptions! Giving amnesty will ensure one thing–millions of votes for Democrat candidates! While most of these folks are hardworking you have to remember if we did not enable them with social services which they believe are tied to the Dems many would not be able to come to our country or survive once they got here. This is lunacy!

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 9:02amAs I recall, he also said we have to secure the borders first and stop the flow of illegal immigration… Which is an absolute must if you want to even consider pathway to citizenship. Might as well give up on winning another presidential election though, unless you can somehow crack down on the get out the vote efforts largely driven by Unions and Community Organizations at the same time. I think they should require english classes, and require some assimilation into American Culture.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 9:26amI agree Karl but the problem is the Democrats in places such as CA make sure interpreters are available in just about any publicly facility to ensure many of these folks don’t need to learn or speak English–ever!
