NYT columnist: Dick Morris ‘a joke to every smart conservative’
Ross Douthat, a conservative columnist for the New York Times, calls GOP pollster Dick Morris “a joke” in a Politico story today:
“Dick Morris is a joke to every smart conservative in Washington and most every smart conservative under the age of 40 in America,” said Douthat. “The problem is that most of the people watching Dick Morris don’t know that.”
The story frames “smart conservatives” as Republican Party operatives and the people who work for think tanks like the Heritage Foundation.
As a D.C. resident, generally speaking, it’s a true statement.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 8:02pmI hate to admit it, but for once I agree with a Politico. Dick Morris was also way too optimistic in 2010 about the number of seats in the house that would flip. I think he just takes an extreme position to create buzz and get on TV.

Posted on November 12, 2012 at 11:05amWhat Dick Morris didn’t factor in to his Romney landslide prediction is the CHEATING that the Democrats did for Obama to be reelected. Why else would Princess Nancy so boldly proclaim that there was no way Mitt Romney would ever win if she didn’t know the fix was in? Dick Morris was right. Romney was poised to win in a landslide. But the American landscape has changed considerably. We have a different demographic now of people who have never assimilated into the greater American culture. These people may be American citizens but in their hearts they are not Americans.

Posted on November 12, 2012 at 10:41amThis Columnist sounds like he’s speaking on some kind of drug – he will soon come off his ‘high’ – the grand celebration: “this too shall pass.”
Was it not NYT that was losing is readership at a heavy pace just recently. The left is coming out in force using all stops – esp, using this recent victory to push their nutty ideas.
Dick Morris is my ‘political’ go to guy (speaking as a conservative viewer/fan) – a professional I go to when i need to refresh and seek truth and remove myself from all the nutty professors out there.

Posted on November 12, 2012 at 10:01amHe is just jealous that Dick Morris was smart enough to switch over from the dumbocrats.
No that’s not right, Dick Morris uses people like those who read stories on the blaze to make money. Only time he is on TV is when he is pimping a book that magically fits into the narrative that he has been feeding you for years. You are an idiot if you think this guy wants anything from you besides your money.
He also probably thinks you are an idiot. Watch Fox news, read the blaze, but don’t take it for gospel, or you will get it handed it to you like you did last Tuesday.
have a nice day.
