Here’s one for the history books.
Fox News’ resident psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow writes on FoxNews.com that following the details of the sex scandal centered on Gen. David Petraeus is in itself “a sexual act”:
That’s right: Getting under the covers with Paula Broadwell and General Petraeus is a sexual act. Those who do it are looking for titillation and sexual gratification they can’t find in their own lives. They don’t want to spend the money on a Penthouse magazine or a racy movie or “Fifty Shades of Grey.” And they are many times more offensive to me and more dangerous to our national interests than a man and woman who find comfort or compassion or, yes, sexual release with one another in this world so frequently empty of anything human, let alone anything intimate.
The gist of Ablow’s column is that government officials need a “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy that goes beyond sexual orientation. It should include having extramarital affairs and looking at porn on-the-job.

Nov. 15, 2012 at 4:23pmThe “details” I want to know is whether Patraeus was “encouraged” to testify about a Benghazi video protest due to this affair, plus whether the woman received special funding for her trips or classified information. I doubt too many people are interested in other aspects. We have every right to know.
