Meghan McCain may leave the GOP
Meghan McCain, daughter of 2008 Republican Presidential Nominee John McCain, writes in The Daily Beast that she may abandon the GOP:
We can’t let the Tea Party bully us any longer. We can’t keep worrying about ultraconservative white male voters. At the end of the day, I still believe I’m on the right side of history, and we can’t let this party sink away. We can and we must evolve. I don’t know exactly how yet, but I for one am ready to spend the next four years helping us get there.
And if we don’t move forward, adapt, and become relevant again, the Republican Party isn’t going to survive. It will just continue to alienate more moderate voters like myself. If I don’t see some changes in the next four years, I’m going to consider registering as an Independent in 2016.
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Posted on November 18, 2012 at 12:06pmThis is not unexpected after all Ms MsCain inherited the mantel of Republican. She did not come to it as a reflection of what she believes. She did not call herself a Conservative because after reflection she determined that she is in simpatico with Conservative principals.
Ms McCain Offers to Us the True Example of a Republican In Name Only.
I say this not as a Pejorative but purely as descriptive.

Posted on November 18, 2012 at 9:22amDon’t understand this–and similar rants–about so-called Tea Party power politics; Romney was NOT a Tea Party favorite. Have we gotten to the point where analysis can ignore the obvious?

Posted on November 17, 2012 at 3:08pmMs. McCain doesn’t understand the TEA party and other constitutionalists because she’s hung up on on a different set of morality concerns. It would be worthwhile to try separating the discussions into what anthropologists have suggested are the six clusters of moral concerns—care/harm, fairness/cheating, liberty/oppression, loyalty/betrayal, authority/subversion, and sanctity/degradation.
For sure, both political parties have what I consider morally wrong and often disgusting planks/elements. It’s time to focus on ideological and moral principles. If we did, Ms. McCain would in fact have a new Republican Party, but those of us with TEA party and libertarian values would be standing right there with her.

Posted on November 17, 2012 at 2:27pmThis is getting as life threatening dangerous for white men as anything I can think off—I have never read or heard at anytime in history one group who was demonized more than what I am beginning to see of the demonization and isolation practices on the white man as I am seeing now.. No wait,, the Nazi did a pretty similar job against the Jews in 1930’s Germany… Think about it.. Newsweek even promotes it without so much of a wimper from dumb whitey….You’re Old, You’re White and You’re FINISHED

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 7:36pmMy, this P.O.S. could not change our minds. I would rather be jailed and/or executed for my beliefs than follow these progressives into the eternity that awaits them. Good luck, (yer gonna’ need luck, because God has nothing to do with your beliefs), in your new career doing the same thing you are doing now, just with a different label. BTW, you aren’t even qualified for the job you have, you spoiled, shallow, uninformed little valley girl.
