LA Times not really that committed to affirmative action
From today’s editorial in the Los Angeles Times:
In theory, we would be pleased to see the end of affirmative action bans such as Proposition 209 and Proposal 2. This page strongly opposed Proposition 209 when it was on the ballot. We continue to believe that affirmative action is a reasonable, fair and effective way to redress past harms and promote diversity at public universities. We hope that the Supreme Court, which is currently hearing a different case involving affirmative action, reaffirms its constitutionality.
The editorial continues: “But though we support affirmative action, we also believe that voters have a right to ban it.”
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Affirmative Action should be abolished.
We now have a Black President.
The playing field is officially level.
It’s time people earned their way to the top, on their own.

Posted on November 30, 2012 at 4:25pmWe have affirmative action to help black admission to college. And thatm is ok. When will affirmative action become part of college and professional sports? Equality under the law? We of the Democratic Party are fighting for these equal rights for ALL Americans.
