Anderson Cooper on CNN’s ratings: ‘I hope we figure it all out’

On CBS’s This Morning Anderson Cooper said he didn’t know what changes CNN’s new president Jeff Zucker might bring to the news network.

“CNN has a great brand,” he said, “and is a great place and has really dedicated journalists, and like CBS, there’s not a lot of places that have journalists working out in the field and CBS is one of them. And CNN is a place expanding with bureaus, and that’s important to us, and that’s in our DNA.”

Zucker recently said he wanted “more passion and excitement” brought to CNN. Asked if he can “meet that bill,” Cooper said “I certainly hope so.”

“Look, a lot of passion in people there,” he said, “and I think, you know, we’ve always done well when things are happening and it’s in the slower times that we’ve run into problems, and I hope we figure it all out.”

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Maybe people are bored with the news because what they are really getting is fluff. No real reporting. CNN and the rest of the MSM are treasonous.

Since about fourteen people under the age of fifty watch NBC I think you have your answer. I have another question–what does passion have to do with journalism? I think there is plenty of passion at CNN and it is directed at making sure progressives win no matter how the complicit media crafts the message and how ineptly their champions step on their own D!(%s. All you have to do is look at Candi (I ate it all) Crowley’s life-line tossed to Obama in the second debate. He really didn’t need it since he had an earwig which gave him the answer ahead of time. Don’t get me started on their coverage of the fiscal cliff–between them, CNBC, MSNBC, and the commiseration going on at Fox-lite I don’t know how most conservatives even get up to go to work. They are beset upon every side by people whose one goal in life is to destroy at least one conservative during their careers. Then they have anything they say mis-characterized buy Debbie Whatshername Schultz and Chris Van Whoren even though even CNN calls them out from time to time.
