In HuffPost: ‘License’ to hunt black men would be ‘improvement’ on ‘Stand Your Ground’ law

With our collective mouth left hanging open, we bring you this “fresh take” on Florida’s infamous “Stand Your Ground” law. It was published yesterday by comedian D.L. Hughley in the Huffington Post:

“No one likes kids blasting their crappy music. No one likes babies crying on airplanes either. But you don’t get to kill them. If that were the case, Ice Cube would have signed my death certificate many years ago — and for many of my childhood friends as well. So let’s identify this law for what it is: a hunting license for young black men.

“Frankly, a hunting license would be an improvement over the Stand Your Ground law. Hunting is a very heavily-regulated sport. There are only certain times of the year where hunting is permitted, and the animals you kill have to be of a certain minimum size. Juveniles are not, generally, considered fair game (it’s where the term “fair game” comes from). You can’t bait your prey, either: they have to be given a fair shot.

“I was at a Florida golf course once where there was a different kind of nuisance: A fourteen-foot alligator had swam nearby. Clearly, this was a danger to the golfers and could not be allowed to stand. But that alligator — a species not even close to endangered — was captured and released elsewhere. Shooting it, which would have made us all safer, was still not legally permissible. But if it were a young black man hissed at a Florida citizen, his life would be possibly moot — and legally so.”

The “Stand Your Ground” law gained notoriety after Florida man, George Zimmerman, shot and killed an unarmed teenage boy.

I think people spout racist crap when the can’t debate the issues fairly. When people call other people racist it puts them on the defensive and usually stops people from debating fairly. It is taking the lazy way out, but what else would you expect from the lazy leftists.

Apparently the only people who would do something to get themselves shot are black? I am constantly amazed by the crap HUFFERS POST spews out. The Progressives have sought the extinction of non- whites since racists such as Woodrow Wilson and Margaret Sanger walked the earth. The amazing thing is even when confronted with the truth most Blacks and Latinos look upon Conservatives as followers of Satan. They have been conditioned for so long they can’t believe the truth.

Wow, how dumb can one person be? I’m a Florida girl, born and raised, and I’ve lived near gators my whole life. I remember going to many a family fish fry at Otter Lake, and the adults would just tell the kids to stay out of the water, and to quit throwing rocks, sticks or fish at the gators. Never once did we get attacked by them.

Mr. Hughley’s attempt to sound smart fails because he obviously doesn’t know Florida law. The law says alligators that are over 4 feet in length AND are believed to be a threat to people, pets or property are considered nuisance alligators. Nuisance alligator trappers are then allowed to come in and catch them. They are NOT allowed to relocate them in the wild. Those gators are killed for meat (fried gator tail is awesome!) or sold to zoos or alligator farms. A 14 foot gator is pretty easy to spot, and it probably wouldn’t last long before a trapper would be called in.

Florida law also states that gators under 4 feet are to be left alone because they are very unlikely to be a danger to people or pets unless they are directly handled. It’s the element of potential life-threatening harm that allows trappers to come in and hunt gators. Hmmm…kind of like the element of potential life-threatening harm required for the stand your ground law.

How about the thugs in Chicago killing young Black children? or is that just the ‘law of the wild’ thing going on? Not so much fuss is made when Whites are killed or assualted by Blacks….why is that Mr. Hughly…is it because it is expected or it is justified? Just saying….

So how about capture and release of Malcontent Ovoters to their country of origin since they hate this one so much and wish to turn THIS PLACE into the very DUMPS THEY CAME FROM. : (

Yes, once again, HuffingSome reminds us that THEY believe that black men are always on the wrong side of the law – AND, once again, obama’s leftists prove that THEY are the real racists. ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws provide equal protection to all law biding citizens – they have nothing to do with race.

I hardly think a crying baby or loud music can be comparable to one person actually beating the stuffing out of another person and slamming their head on the pavement. This constant race-baiting (if you want to use another hunting analogy) is morally reprehensible. Hunting laws in my state do not allow the baiting of prey. It was always considered unsporting by hunters of merit but not so even for Mr. Hughley. Dr. King would be so proud.
