The New York Post sees the “irony” in MSNBC’s Al Sharpton discussing tax policy with President Obama:

… Obama’s decision to invite Sharpton (and several other MSNBC hosts) [is] baffling. Why ask a man with a terminal case of tax allergies to make the case for higher rates for everybody else?

The Rev’s issues go back decades: In 1993, for example, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor tax crime to avoid two felony charges.

Asked about all this yesterday — specifically, whether he’s gotten square with the tax man — Sharpton said simply that he has “resolved all matters.”But his spokeswoman later refused to respond to a simple question: Has Sharpton actually paid his taxes?

It was reported Tuesday that in addition to Sharpton, MSNBC hosts Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell met with Obama at the White House to “discuss importance of extending the Bush middle-class tax cut.”

Al Sharpton was 1.5 MILLION IN BACK TAXES! Where is the Democratic voters screaming down his neck? THAT why I have a HARD TIME believing the Democratics have any PRINCIPLES!

That someone as odious, semi-literate, and racist as “Rev.” Weird Al Sharpton is a respected elder of the Democrat party–the ruling party for the foreseeable future–tells you everything you need to know about the abysmal state of the Republic. God help us.

Where else but America could someone who is semi-literate rise to the level he has. Of course most of the ascent was on the backs of ‘little people’ such as Tawana Brawley he chose to defend even though in every case it was determined the racially based charges he leveled were false. Think about this–this guy has no degree and is not a minister in any church–how did he become Rev Al?
