The conservative media vs. the GOP

From my installment in TheBlaze’s “GOP: What’s Next?” original series:

A report that Fox News contributors Karl Rove and Dick Morris have been put on the backburner by higher ups at the network feeds into the theory that at least some of the blame for Republicans’ recent electoral failures rests with the conservative media.

It’s an idea that was kicked around by several high-profile Republicans immediately after Mitt Romney lost the election to President Barack Obama and Democrats picked up seats in both the Senate and the House.

On MSNBC a few days after the election, Morning Joe co-host and former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough said “Conservatives have been lied to” by what columnist David Frum called “the conservative entertainment complex.” …

“It’s not the conservative media per se, but a few purer-than-thou right-wingers,” [author Ann Coulter] wrote in an email to TheBlaze. “Yes, that’s a problem.” She said, however, conservatives in the chattering class who promoted candidates that lost their races, such as Rep. Todd Akin and Senate candidate Richard Mourdock, were “not helpful.” Akin and Mourdock’s defeats are widely chalked up to public comments they made about rape and abortion.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

I get so tired of hearing Coulter’s comments about Sen Akin and Murdock. Good Gosh woman! Have you ever heard of the circular firing squad??? When Jesse Jackson Jr gets reelected his room in the mental hospital, and needs a note from his doctor before he can join the Senate, where did you see the Left wing firing squad shooting at their man? When ANY Left wing nut job says something outrageously offensive, the Democrats circle the wagons to protect them!

I don’t blame the likes of Todd Akin. I blame the likes of Ann Coulter!

It’s ridiculous to say Rove and Morris where put on the backburner because they were responsible for “electoral failures.” The common thread between these two was the horrible, dead wrong, embarrassing prediction that Romney was going to win in a landslide. Not only did it crush conservatives who bought into the fantasy, but it also established progressive media (who predicted correctly) as far more credible.

The mistake is to believe there is a conservative media. I suppose there is, but it’s not on network TV.

Fox is not conservative … except if you definition is “NOT completely in the tank for Communist/Socialist ideals”. The major networks ABC,CBS,NBC etc. are an arm of the federal executive branch. They ARE government.

The GOP is gone….They have to make a hard left and it is a death gasp for the party. I will not be following them so they will most likely all be gone in 2014. Stop blaming everyone else, the GOP commited suicide and they can’t see it. The party actually thinks conservatives and the tea party are the problem (my God) who the &%(& do you think voted for you. Remove conservative independents like me from your base and you will be lucky to win a dog catcher race. The conservative media is the way your message gets to people like me and the other side uses John Stewart and Honey Boo Boo. My advise to the GOP is “Lead, Follow or get out of the way”

Please join 182,000+ conservative constitutionalists in signing two petitions requesting a total recount of our votes due to massive reported voter fraud incidents, along with thousands of uncounted military absentee ballots. We patriots truly believe that President Barack Hussein Obama has so divided our beloved nation by race, religion, class and gender. Please help us reunite our beloved nation so that we may become “One Nation Under God”…again! Thank you and may God bless our beloved nation, our constitution and our troops!

Due to reports of massive voter fraud incidents, and thousands of uncounted military absentee ballots, myself and 182,000+ conservative patriots have signed petitions on the Congress and White house websites requesting a recount of all votes. Freedom is not free! Our Troops put themselves in harms way so that we here at home, enjoy the many freedoms that they so bravely fight for. Yet their absentee ballots sit uncounted in boxes in many office buildings around the country! 74% of our military are Republican and 26% are Democrat (could that be the reason every election thousands of their ballots go uncounted? ) While serving in Baghdad, Iraq in 2004, 5,000+ ballots went “missing”!
There has been so much voter fraud reported that I, and 182,000+ Patriots have been searching for news stories and FBI investigations and compiling them as evidence. One story claimed Ohio Democrats bussed in hundreds of Somali people who could not speak English, and their citizenship was questioned, yet the Democrat translator showed them where to put their mark, and whom to vote for! We have sent tweets asking for help from Hannity, Oreilly, Greta, Doocy, McCain, Billy Graham, Rush, Coulter, Perino, Beck, Rove, Bolling, Senator Rubio, Malkin, Ingraham and many others, as of today, no one has replied. Most conservative patriots sadly believe that President Obama has greatly divided our nation! All we want is a chance for our beloved nation to reunite and be that “One Nation Under God”…….a

I agree–the problem is Obama doesn’t believe in the Under God part. If anyone cares to take a few moments to think they will realize the Demoncrats decided to take the nuclear approach to politics with the advent of Clinton and it has been so effective they are not likely to stop using this approach anytime soon. You don’t argue with your opponent–you so discredit him or her that sooner of later they become moot. I live in Ohio and President Obama called Romney everything but human for nearly ten months. By the time Romney chose to fight back five months in it made no difference–the damage had been done! Never mind the fact that the Dems have also used states with open primaries to enable them to vote for the preferred candidate–ie. McCain and Romney. Don’t get me started on Akin, Allen, Brown, Mandell, McMahon, and Mourdock. It is not a good idea to nominate candidates who think having their view known on social issues is more important than their ability to do the business of the Senate. Brown lost for one reason–he promised to repeal O Bummer Care and failed to do it! The others lost because they were out of the depth. Akin and Mourdock almost appeared to want to sabotage his own campaigns with the stupid remarks they made. Akin led the hated McCaskill by double-digits until he opened his stupid mouth and destroyed his campaign. According to comedian Ron White “you can’t fix stupid!”

I would love to see us get rid of the terms right and left wing and replace it with big and small government pols. We are in a war of words, that the conservatives are losing constantly. I know Glenn covered this in his show, but it needs to be pounded into the conservative media and pushed on the mainstream media. Many people do not even know what right and left wing mean, they just know that right wing is bad and left wing is their savior. The liberals have saturated every level of media with their propaganda and it even runs through the comment sections. Conservatives mostly still preach to the choir, this has to change . . . we are up against an army of schlubs pushing their agenda any where and way they can!

Glenn always said there is no left or right–there is only right or wrong. The real problem is anyone who has an above room temperature IQ and happens to be conservative will be a constant target for the dominant media culture. Does anyone really believe Democrats are better at selling their brand than Conservatives? They have deployed the nuclear option and Republicans are still acting like they want to be liked. Does anyone believe anyone likes Debbie Whatshername Schultz or Chris Van Whoren? They are more useful than 100 Jim Demints simply because they pound on the GOP every chance they get using talking points they will not argue. They will say something like “everyone knows” and no one will call them out on it. When they are called out on something ala Anderson Cooper telling Debbie Whatshername Schultz she must live in an “alternate reality” they respond with talking points. They are almost like that irritating doll your sister had that talked whenever you pulled a string on the back of her neck. They don’t get upset and even if someone calls them a name they continue to spout their lunacy–totally unperturbed by anything else happening around them. They may look like idiots but guess what–they are more highly regarded by their party than any member of the Republican party!
