Report: Health insurance rates are going up… way up
B-b-b-but ObamaCare!
From a stunned New York Times:
Health insurance companies across the country are seeking and winning double-digit increases in premiums for some customers, even though one of the biggest objectives of the Obama administration’s health care law was to stem the rapid rise in insurance costs for consumers.
Particularly vulnerable to the high rates are small businesses and people who do not have employer-provided insurance and must buy it on their own.
The bulk of the ObamaCare law doesn’t go into effect until next year, at which time insurance companies must get approval from regulators for any increase in rates over 10 percent. So, who (besides the NYTimes) is surprised by insurance companies scrambling to increase rates before that happens?
Yeah, me neither.

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 2:35pmSome of the same liberal statists (not communists, that’s not PC) who favor abortion (even without parental consent) are pushing government healthcare. They do not like to say the truth: that people’s wants always exceed the available stuff. Whether communism, capitalism, or feudalism ANY system must have ways to prevent people from having everything they may want.
In the interest of “scientifically” and “fairly” deciding how to apportion available resources, there will be rationing. The very young and very old will get shorted. Women who test positive for fetal abnormalities may learn that to save on projected costs, abortion is dictated as standard treatment in such a case. Face it, it would save years of expensive medical bills on a single person, who might not have a great prognosis anyway.
Parents of young children with serious illnesses may soon have new cause to worry.
The elderly may find that medi-care is becoming medi-scare. They have lived most of their lives anyway.
People with health problems linked with negative lifestyle choices may feel the burn as well.
After all, it’s their own d** fault, and the rest of the public shouldn’t be on the hook for the bills that result, right? In that case it may be argued, “someone” should MAKE them exercise !
Don’t make health care a government issue, and the public isn’t on the hook. Make it a publicly funded enterprise, and you can end up demonizing people for eating too much pizz

Posted on January 8, 2013 at 6:13amIsn’t this what Obama wants?
He wants private insurance premiums to be so high that the federal exchanges and fines created by Obamacare are the most “affordable” option. People will flock to the government run program therefore shutting down private insurance companies, making a single payer (government) program the only “choice” left.

Posted on January 7, 2013 at 7:17pmWe already got to see the apathy of the American Folk, when mandatory car insurance was enacted…..Next thing we knew our premiums went up 50% when Clinton said they would go down due to competition. Hmmmm that sounds strangely familiar……Cue the Drums

Posted on January 7, 2013 at 4:22pmNot only is our healthcare cost going up, our ” contribution ” to Social Security AND Income Tax via the ” Over the Cliff ” Tax law recently passed, just went up. The Working Americans, that are left, are being hosed by an out of control, even spending, never cutting spending – Government ! Isn’t it about time Americans RECALLED most of OUR Employees in Congress AND the White House ? I’ll sign a petition to recall mine if you will recall yours.

Of course this deathcare law really makes sense anyway, since people that can’t afford it have to pay a fine (yeah that makes sense)…not an accident people, it’s part of the structured take over.
Look for the non-existent death panels to be revealed next.
