Joe Biden to meet with the NRA
As head of the White House’s gun control efforts, Vice President Joe Biden is fielding opinions on possible legislation to curb gun ownership in America. As part of this new campaign, Biden has agreed to meet with representatives of the National Rifle Association (NRA) on Thursday:
White House press secretary Jay Carney said the meeting is one of a many scheduled this week as the task force lead by Biden gathers input before recommending actions to reduce gun violence.
The NRA had complained that it was not being included in the process.
Biden is also scheduled to meet this week with representatives of the entertainment and gaming industries, which some blame for violent content, and with gun-control advocates.
“The vice president has had several meetings and conversations so far, and he will have many more,” Carney said during a press briefing Tuesday.

Posted on January 10, 2013 at 1:52pmWhy is no one explaining to the lefty gun grabbers that everything they desire is available to them on the state level. The 2nd Amendment precludes the Federal Government from infringing on the right of the people to bear arms, but the individual states can do anything they want within their own boundaries. What Obama/Biden wants is a foothold on the Constitution to start bringing the whole thing down.

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 3:45pmMy dues are up guys. NRA is one of my favorite interest groups, if they were to saaaaaaaay, agree to anything Joe Biden wants, I would have to send them a note about Obama and my discretionary income. I haven’t been able to afford a lifetime, I do however pay for 5 years at a time, so please NRA, just nod and smile at Biden, then leave…please.

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 11:21amFolk I have some very bad news and ya better listen up. My evil gun did it again. Ya see once in a while my gun that I keep in the dresser climbs out of the drawer,,loads its self with ammo and goes on shooting sprees. Well it happened again this morning. my gun has shot up the whole town except for my pet poodle Ralph (he kind of likes Ralph) Its gotten so bad that I have decided to hook up with Biden and get rid of all those stinking evil guns cuz I just cant take it no more. I used to believe in the second amendment but now I know that guns are evil and some of em might even be possessed,, I know mine is. Yep theres no better way to show my appreciation to the fine folks that work for us in Washington than to give up my guns and get on board with our fearless leaders. God bless America,, and God bless Uncle Joe Biden. Damn all those demon possessed evil guns that keep on killing folks!

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 10:54amRegardless of what comes out of this meeting Biden will say one of two things: I’ve spoken with the NRA and they just don’t get it. Or, I spoken with the NRA and they believe as I do that some form of control is needed. Either way Biden will spin this to match his agenda.

Posted on January 8, 2013 at 9:31pmI think in self defense that more primitive weapons do more harm than a bullet. But one has to have the strength to yield them against an attacker. That is why women, in particular, need to use a gun to defend their lives — even more so than a man.To take this away from women is to take away the self-defense of the weaker sex.
Also, it isn’t fair to take away self defense from the people, and thus control and victimize us. Yes, we, the innocent and law abiding, are easier to control and punish for the crimes of a few. It is always easy to target the innocent and make them pay for the crimes of the perpetrators than it is to learn how to stop the criminals. That os why women get abused in the first place. The weaker members of society are always targeted (that’s probably why the children were). So why should our legislators then jump on the bandwagon and punish and victimize those who most need guns for their own self defense, even though it’s easier than stopping the criminals? Doesn’t anyone see it’s the same behavior?

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 8:34amGreat points! Same goes for older adults… less strenth, flexabilty and cardio capability. IN FACT, a strong argument could be made that opression of 2nd Amendment rights of women and older adults is a violation of their civil rights, in the area of agism and sexism. Every criminal knows that women and older adults are the easist marks.
