New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) landed this week’s cover of TIME.
On the Today show this morning Christie reacted to having “The Boss” bannered across his face. “I’m going to be the governor of New Jersey,” he said. “And the only reason you get this attention is if you’re doing your job well and you’re looking out for the people that elected you. And that’s what all this is about. It’s not about me trying to take control of anything [the Republican Party] other than to take care of the people who elected me.”
Christie rocked the GOP boat recently when he called out House Republicans for not approving any further relief aid for victims of Hurricane Sandy.
