Christie v. Clinton in 2016 would be ‘most epic,’ poll says

From a survey published by Public Policy Polling, a Democratic polling firm:

The most epic possible 2016 match up at this early point would be between [Hillary] Clinton and Chris Christie. She leads him just 44-42. But our poll indicates getting the Republican nomination could prove to be quite a challenge for Christie. Right now Rubio leads the GOP field with 21% to 16% for Ryan, 15% for Mike Huckabee, 14% for Christie and Bush, 5% for Rand Paul, 3% for Bobby Jindal, and 2% each for Susana Martinez and Rick Perry.

There is no way Chris Christie would have enough support. I said that about the loser of the 2008 republican primary as well. It is time for the Tea Party to replace the GOP.

Christie? LOL, thanks for the good laugh! He might have talked tough earlier this year, but that was before Hurricane Sandy. Now folks realize he probably wears panties under that Governor suit.

I think Paul, West, Rubio or Ryan would be far better choices for the GOP nomination.

the left is at it again. Trying to influence our Republican candidate. Christie is a RINO…If Christie is the GOP choice in 2016. I will NOT vote yet another RINO

This nation is in some very serious trouble. People are already aligning themselves with who they hope will be the next elected dictator. Pitiful.

Epic because it will be the first time in modern history where two Democrats (Democrat-lite (RINO) vs Hard-core Leftist) are all that’s on the “presidential ticket”.

If Christie is a Republican, it’s because that tea-party fellow he swallowed is still alive and kicking in his belly…

Christie will never get the support….don’t waste the time on him GOP. Allen West should have been chosen for VP this time around, but I still think he would be a great President. The other is Rand Paul.

By reviewing the comments, I see that my gut reaction to this headline is not unique. The governor may be a republican but he is far from being a Conservative. A mute point really – by the time the 2016 election cycle hits we will all be knee deep in tending the Republic’s garden and watering the ‘Tree’.

You want epic? How about these two chubs get together, do a You Tube video and give Bill & Monica some payback. Try to get that image out of your head! :)

who in the he!! would consider this epic?? Neither one of these schmucks deserve a single vote, they both suck donkeys. And enough of this garbage about jeb “never meet an illegal alien I didn’t like” bush. This jerk is a disaster. Jim DeMint, Susana Martinez, maybe Rand Paul, but stop with the RINO recommendations

I doubt either of these progressives will be on the ticket but it’s an indication of the choices we will have. Just more of the same crap we’ve been getting for the last quarter century.

Testing the water? The only Christie and Hillary competition would be who gets to be president and who would run as VP. I don’t know what Christie’s reputation is in New Jersey, but in areas where local ‘common sense’ is more of a indicator of a candidate’s potential… 4 years will not be nearly be enough time to repair the damage of the mishandling of Sandy, and the Benghazi atrocity. And don’t forget the BS and lies – BOTH of these people have fed the public. Intentionally.
So for those ‘water testers’, put my vote as NFW, for either one.

After one or the other of the two win the Democrat nomination–you don’t think Christie can get anywhere in the Republican party do you–it will be interesting to see “the winner” loose to a real Conservative candidate after we fall off the financial cliff and have to scrape our way back!

Christie and Clinton are both ultra-liberals – so are they going to challenge each other for the democrat nomination in 2016?

A RINO vs. a dogmatic progressive wrestling for the control and future of our country? Ugh! That’s like being asked to eat a thumbtack sandwich. Nothing positive could possible happen, it’ll leave a bad taste in your mouth and in the end, it’ll be nothing but a pain in the ass.

IT wouldnt be Epic. IT would be 2 Liberals going at it over stupid topics. Christie is brash and always up for a good fight, but he is all about whats best for him. Im afraid I might have to vote for Hillary.
