Global warming not considered ‘really pressing’ issue to Fox News, nor to most people

Erik Wemple, the Washington Post‘s media critic, calls out Fox News’s Jon Scott for not lumping gay rights and climate change into what the anchor described as “the really pressing issues of our time”:

Call it a victory for consistency: All week long, Fox News commentators were faulting the president for failing to make the deficit and the national debt central themes of his inaugural presentation. It’s a solid line of thinking. Excessive debt, after all, is a burden that’ll victimize future generations of Americans.

Kinda like climate change, come to think of it. Who’s to say that the prospect of floods and droughts, of extinct species and swollen seas, of displaced peoples and monster hurricanes, doesn’t qualify as a really pressing issue of our time?

On the show Fox News Watch this weekend, Scott said President Obama‘s Inaugural address was heavy on gay rights and climate change but light on “the really pressing issues of our time.”

Scott, however, was in sync with the what most Americans, whether right or wrong, do consider “really pressing.” A Pew survey published last week proves it…

Asked to name what the “top priority” of Obama’s second-term agenda should be, the top three named by most Americans were “strengthening the economy,” “improving job situation,” and “reducing budget deficit.”

At the very bottom of the list: “Dealing with global warming (climate change).” Twenty-eight percent said that should be a top priority. Gay rights wasn’t even listed on the survey.

Understandable that Fox News does not perceive global warming as a crisis to solve. But it frustrates me no end that I can’t seem to break through to them that there is a massive story to be told on how skeptic climate scientists had to be silenced by any means possible for the issue to remain alive in the eyes of the public this whole time. Please see my article “Monumental fault in manmade global warming notion hiding in plain sight” http://ow.ly/h9wy4 to gain a better understanding of this unreported problem that has every potential of collapsing the entire issue. And if anyone can relay this to Fox News or Glenn Beck, I’d be indebted you you.

Norway Data Shows Earth’s Global Warming Less Severe Than Feared.
“The Earth’s mean temperature rose sharply during the 1990s,” said Terje Berntsen, a professor at the University of Oslo who worked on the study. “This may have caused us to overestimate climate sensitivity.”

The father of ‘Global Warming’ (James Lovelock) recanted his position last April when he discovered the average temperatures from 1996 to 2010 were virtually the same. He also calls Al Gore an opportunist he used this hoax to to enrich himself by selling carbon offset credits to fools he duped into thinking a tree would be planted using those funds. Does anyone doubt the US is inhabited by mush heads?

I’m one who thinks homosexuality is a perversion and man made global warming is a scam.
